Honestly, this is one of my favorite cards from New Phyrexia, which is already one of my favorite sets for its flavor, power, art, and design. My primary reason for liking this card so much is because that guy looks ***ed. In an awesome way.

No kitchen finks or something like it, but not bad either.

Easily survives the vast majority red sweepers. Having just been looking for red creatures with protection from red a few months ago, I can say this pleases me greatly with fun casual games in mind.

When you want to kill phyrexians, pro red is not a good choice of colour protection.

3 power for 3. this card seems pretty fair to me.

I love cards with protection from themselves. No clue why. Vanilla 3/2 for 3 would be playable. This is better.

Considering that red is gonna be nuts for the time period between M12 and Innistrad, this guy is actually pretty damn good.
I think he has Pro Red because he has lava in his veins, and lives in the Great Forge. The man can take a little bit of heat. And he carves faces, which is just awesome.

@ Sironos:
I think the point is that his way of killing Phyrexians is just to bathe the area in fire. Because flame doesn't kneel to Phyrexia.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the in-block, in-colour Slagstorm. Wipe all toughness 3 or less creatures...except for your 3/2 beater.

There need to be soooooo many more pro-red (with no activation) red creatures. It is crazy that it took this long to get the fourth one, or whatever this is. They make so much sense, and are so useful.

I would rather use this than Koth's Courier for a sideboard card.
Seems like it would be good in limited, too.
hmm... should i give it 3.5/5, or 4/5?...
...3.5/5, seems pretty solid although situational.

Lets hear it for Chain Reaction!
