Good in control and great in combo. This was one of my favourite cards in Weatherlight when it came out, and I still like it a lot today.

This card is great when all your creatures have a power greater than 3. If your opponent plays small creatures without any enchantment destruction, they basically lost the game - as a matter of fact, this card works great against ANY deck without enchantment destruction - it will most likely get rid of most of their creatures.

In case anyone hasn't noticed, this art is 5000 times better than the 7th Ed one.

Actually I think Sprouting Phytohydra would just create an infinite loop and make you draw the game unless you choose to stop creating tokens. Though with Pandemonium, that turns into a win.

@McThor
Actually, it would cause an infinite loop and force the game into a draw. So not 'ftw' it's 'ftd'.

You'd have to have something like gaea's anthem out, as pandemonium checks power, and without the anthem you'd be dealing 0 damage an infinite amount of times.

There are powerful decks that work with aether flash, and powerful decks that work with pandemonium, and somewhat decent decks that work with sprouting phytohydra, but the three don't really work well together at all.

Take out Eldrazi spawn before they get sacked to cast something two damage won't kill.

This thing can completely disrupt certain decks, but it forces you to play only bigger creatures. I like it best in RedGreen for that reason.

Stops elves and goblins dead. Well, for the most part. You still have to worry about the other ten thousand of them on the battlefield before you get this out...

This shuts down all types of decks though. Nether Traitor, Bloodghast... I managed to get this out before my opponent dropped a Braids, Cabal Minion. One may wonder why some people continue to play creatures knowing they will die -- it's because people don't pay attention to card text, specifically opponent's card text (Curse of the Cabal anyone?)

For added fun, throw in some Wash Outs and Evacuations, then watch your opponent try to play them all again.

This looks suspiciously like Slifer the Sky Dragon's Second Mouth Attack.

We already have Spell Book which is the same as Infinite Cards. Any MaRo card can be Slifer himself.

AND there's that new Zombie in Dark Ascension that you can play from Graveyard, which you could use instead of Revival Jam!

Are there any cards in Magic that can act like Card of Safe Return? (Whenever a creature enters the battlefield from the graveyard, draw a card) ? Because if so, I have a really wicked awesome combo :)

A card they'd never print in the modern creature-heavy environment. These and pyroclasm effects have probably seen the end of their time in standard.
