I agree, Outlaw... although it would feel strange for such a menacing "race" to be killable by Shatters!

Phyrexians could have been VERY good candidates for colored artifact creatures, if their sets were printed today.

@Leshrac...well it would be no different than a mighty baneslayer getting taken out by humble doom blade.

Tasty. Served best with a side of Hypnotic Specter and a fine pinot noire

@OutlawD1 - Wizards too thought that. And look, the scythe is the Phyrexian symbol :D

Slap Lightning Greaves on him and the Coalition will surely fall before the glory of Phyrexia.

I'm ridiculous for saying this, but this is more of a discard sure bet vs ol' Hypnotic. Yes, random discard is insane, but a deck oriented towards hand death find out later in a game that discard is discard: people's hands tend to be smaller later in a game. Just don't forget Ghastlord of Fugue, Raven's Crime, and Liliana of the Veil. Historically, a deck built like that in Magic prehistoric days would also have Minion of Leshrac and/or Demonic Hordes.

I feel that Blight, Nettlevine Blight, Rain of Tears, Strip Mine, etc are land death, yes, but help hand destruction soooo much. Kinda like how players using Rafiq the Many would typically like Silent Arbiter.
