A red three card draw for only 3 mana or - if an opponent wants - a 5 damage for 3 mana? Looks quite WHAT THE HELL!?

For real.. This Sorcery should be at least Rare!! I was surprised to see it uncommon. It's the cheapest drawed in the history of drawers, even blue hasn't so cheap drawers. Who would want to receive all the damage?

I remember looking at this card for the first time and not understanding it. I mean how could it be that good? very underrated card. very powerful in burn. If you have a good fast burn deck then your opponent should almost always choose for you to draw three cards, and then you can finish them off with the new burn spells you draw. always run 4 in a burn deck.

Amazing card. No drawback for you, but plenty of it for them. In a burn deck it's a Choice of Damnations but better!

its a great card for getting people to hate you, as they only have the choices of take damage, or let them get ahead

This card is funny in multiplayer, as someone could think "I rather take the 5 damage", while someone else thinks so too. Or no one thinks it's worth it because then they'll be weaker in comparison to the rest. Just the mindplays alone... Though it's annoying you pretty much have to let them write on a piece of paper what decision they take.

i have this gem in my straight red deck and love it...adds to red a lot of what it lacks

Awesome burn spell... which could turn into 3 cards instead! Really, really, really good card.
@ChaoticDarkness: No, that's wrong. When you play it, the next player who has priority chooses whether to take 5 damage or not. If he does, nothing more happens. If he doesn't, the choice is up to the next player with priority and so on and so forth. The card will never do more than 5 damage to a single player.
Still, it's an amazing card.

since it targets a player, you could combo it with mirror sheen

The bluest red card.

It's 2R for a choice of Concentrate/Harmonize or Lava Axe, whatever your opponent chooses it isn't good. Similar to Breaking Point but a Wrath of God won't benifit you in all situations, whatever, just run 4x of both.

Among the best burn spells ever printed. Most cards that give the opponent a choice to take damage or otherwise lose something in order to cancel a nasty effect are pretty terrible. See Dash Hopes - either the opponent doesn't pay the 5 life (in which case whatever you're countering probably isn't that important), or they do and blast you with their win-con.
With Browbeat, though, both choices suck, providing you're playing mono-red burn. Either they take 5 damage, or let you draw 3 cards which are almost certainly going to be 5+ damage worth of burn spells. Awesome.

@Retrovirus: Who in the world would ever choose to let you draw 3 cards with this if you're already running this in a burn deck? I for one would rather take 5 to the face for 3 mana, than letting you draw 3 new burn spells.
@Gaussgoat: Your wish has finally come true? Wizards has just printed Reverberate! :D
In my honest opinion, nothing beats the experience of casting a Browbeat in a good burn deck. I can't wait to copy Browbeat with Reverberate - that's gonna be epic :D

Simply bad ass on red burn decks. I have 4 Judgment copies myself. One of the strongest cards i got on the first booster pack i ever bought, sweet memories :)

Should I use this or Brainstorm in my casual Pyromancer ascension deck? I'd appreciate the advice. I already have 4 Preordains and I can't decide what to use!

My go-to draw spell when making a mono-red deck. Captures the essence of red in both its effect, and the great flavour text.

im sure this has been mentioned already but pyromancers ascension loves this card. especially if u run runeflare traps.

EvilCleavage: Depending on your curve, I would go for this. It will create more interesting stories, and I don't want to think about facing a 'draw 6 cards or deal 10 damage' decision as the victim!
The 3 properties of red: Direct Damage, Land Destruction, and Amazingly fun cards like this.

This recently became my new favorite card after losing on the draw to an opponent with 3 or less life one too many times. Someone mentioned Pyromancer Ascension but I' surprised I didn't see Quest for the Pure Flame. "Oh, you can't afford to take 10 to stop it? Ok then. I'll just hit you for 18 with 3 lightning bolt/lava spike."

I would KILL to Twincast this guy someday.
