While for the same and lower costs you could simply exile the creature, being able to pick and choose a new target makes this lock down well worth it.

Please note this works on Emrakul as it does not target a creature with it's ability. It's awesome to watch people scratch their heads for a turn or two and then bolt their own creature just to get rid of this.

A good way to deal with darksteel colosus, especially since you can bring this out early and just wait for the knarliest creatures to show up. people tend to get mad though when they realize that this thing just keeps getting thrown back in thier face. friggin love it.

If opponent plays with shroud-creatures or Asceticism or Privileged Position, drop it on one of your own fodder-critters and move it (untargeted!) when opponent plays a creature ;-)

@TPmanW - This works on Emrakul not because it doesn't target but because Emrakul has protection from coloured spells. This is obviously a permanent except when you play it, but at that point it targets so you can't put it straight on an Emrakul.
Definitely a great card - I have to counter every copy a friend has in a burn-control deck with only Sphinx of Jwar Isle as a finisher.

the more I use this card, the more I love it. you just keep moving it to their progressively bigger and better creatures as the game goes on! AND blocks activated abilities??
