Good Suicide/Damage card. Better with any lifegain deck (b/w cleric deck)

Two zombie decks using these in a team game is just ridiculous. You can usually get out more zombies than your opponents can deal with, and all you have to do is swing for a little more damage than they can deal you.

I prefer Gempalm Polluter, but I could see the use of this one.

Oh man, ya this guy is a beast I'm telling you. Like DFG_Danger said, if you can just hit your opponent for a little more life than they got you, then you'll have the game in the bag. I've used this numerous times to win against my brother in my casual Zombie deck. Oh and PS I finally today got 2 more undead warchiefs which I am stoked about.

Use with Gutless Ghoul, both to put your life higher than your opponent's and to fine tune the number of zombies.

So many people making ridiculous comments/combos about how to avoid the life loss.
Shepherd of Rot is disappointing in you. Play the game like a real black mage and just corrupt all your life back or something.

This is the card that made me stop saying I was a blue player and start saying I was a black player.

Well, okay, I've been Blue or Black ever since Betrayers of Kamigawa. But this card officially changed my favorite color.

Of course, my zombie deck has four Gempalm Polluters in the sideboard so I can replace these guys if I need to get serious. But they're so much more fun. Plus, I use a bunch of zombie lords, so these are more useful on the field than the polluter is in the graveyard.

Gempalm polluter huh? well I would run them BOTH, in a zombie pauper as the synergy is awesome there, as long as you have higher life than your opponent you can whittle it down to nothing between this guy here and your polluters, anything threatening your shepherds? Dash Hopes, keep that life loss going, then if your shepherd dies Unearth, and repeat.

All hail Zombie Jesus.

So powerful at common. It's crazy. I use this in my pauper EDH zombie tribal deck (commander is still up in the air because my friend doesn't want me to use noxious ghoul because it's quite mean) and it is absolutely insane. It really puts the clock on your opponent (and yourself too, but you can stop it if you want to).

My deck focuses on attrition and chumping and using things like ghoul caller's chant to keep the zombies coming. I usually don't get much damage in, but even if I've done just a tiny bit, I can slowly close the game with this guy. He pings for 4-6 damage each turn usually and I can do it on their end step leaving him open as a blocker if necessary. He's just crazy. This guy and gempalm polluter are the main finishers in the deck (and my commander might be a finisher too depending on what I choose).
