Good memories. I used to play mono black with 3 of Black Knights and my brother used to play a mono white deck with 3 of these. Our games were pretty much races to get our respective knights. Of course I had Diabolic Tutor, lol.

My mono-black had to splash red to deal with Protection from Black. I love this in my white deck though.

Somewhere, on some plane, this guy is locked in a never-ending battle of astounding epicness with Black Knight. A very nice card. 4/5.
@Kamidii: No, not strictly better than Llanowar Knight. The mana cost and creature types are different. While I'd play this over Llanowar in most cases, I'd play Llanowar over this in any of these decks:
1. Elf tribal 2. aggro (Turn 1 Loam Lion then this) or a deck with Shield of the Oversoul 3. Domain-type decks that want the flexibility of having green and white on the table by turn 2 (though turn 2 in that kind of deck would preferably be land fetching.)
I'm planning to have both this and Black Knight in my Knight tribal deck.

Not my favorite art, but it's a solid card that's stood the test of time. Love it, and used to run 4 Beta copies in a very old weenie deck.
