Overpriced and too expensive to use.

I like the idea behind it, but it would need a major overhaul to be made playable. Maybe 2G to cast and free to tap and charge.

Definitely going in my vintage Doubling Season deck when it gets built.

At least you can tap it for one mana without having any counters on it, and you can do that the turn it comes into play. It's still pretty crappy compared to Darksteel Ingot for that purpose, but I suppose if you have some esoteric need for mana ramp and can't seem to make Birds of Paradise or Llanowar Elves work for you then this card might do the job.

There are WAY better cards for that though.

Are you guys kidding me? This thing uses CHARGE COUNTERS y'know, the ones were you aren't supposed to use the overpriced ability on the card to get them, but along with proliferate you get plenty of free mana. Throw in a colorless deck with the rest of the batteries

Aw man, you gotta tap it to add one mana? That sucks.

Hey - at least the green mages were practical and made their battery portable.
White: a giant stone set in a mountain
Red: some giant sculpture thingy
Blue: edifices sticking up out of the sea
Black: far too icky to put in a pocket or carry around
