StoicChampion: Why is it Mirrodin has the most dinosaurs of any magic set?

Don't have your creatures attack! We're pretty sure its vision is based on movement maybe!

Now my Craw Wurms are that much harder to trade with in Limited.

Wizards can't make every card for Constructed. Limited needs love too.

Old generic wurms are longtime obsolete in limited, and here's a little fix. But i can't get why green can't get just plain 6/6 for friggin' at common, considering modern power levels?
For those of you who had a Root Elemental and thought, "Wait a minute! That's broken. Why does it need a good ability?"

On constructed: Just no, with a side note of unwarranted explanation.
On limited: Perhaps we should have seen this coming with the replacement of Craw Wurm by Yavimaya Wurm in M11. Personally, despite being opposed to the Powercreep, I appreciate this card. Green needs some love, and Craw Wurm has never been good. In Scars limited, this card is actually a potent threat; one extra toughness goes a long way. Galvanic Blast and Grasp of Darkness can't kill this guy alone, and in fact, short of help from -1/-1 counters, your opponent practically has to being playing White (Arrest, Dispense Justice) to deal with this guy outside of combat. And it is in combat that this card truly proves its worth. Irregardless, don't pick him early. He's still a six-mana colored common in an artifact set. So probably mid-pack.

One of the worst cards I ever seen! Well, I guess every set needs a weak card. Only saving grace for this card is that the art is kind of cool, and the humorous flavor text.

In a format that is light on cheap creature removal, this thing is actually quite solid in limited.

Why didn't they made this as 6/6? I'm clueless how MTG assign power and toughness to creatures when designing a creature cards.

When the developers need filler they turn to 8 year olds, it is a fun contest that helps bring younger players to the game of Magic. Unfortunately R&D said dinosaur creature type is right out, but little kids love the mundane beasts right? Also 8 year olds have always hated getting pwned by craw wurms.

Do you know why this isn't 6/6? Because 6/5 is just a lot more interesting. And the difference between 6 toughness and 5 toughness is not that much in this limited format.
Decent Limited muscle. If I'm running green I'm more than happy to start picking these guys up mid-pack or so. Even sooner if I'm committed to Dinosaur Draft.

Dinosaur creature type needs to happen. Also, more beebles. Why this card would be played is beyond me when yavimaya wurm can take it's place. A big middle finger to craw wurm for sure.

was fun to give infect with grafted exoskeleton of similar, will be sad when the big boys from besieged make an entrance and make this guy totally useless.
No wonder the Mirrans lost, they were eaten by their own beasties...

The best use of this creature is to scribble out its name and write "Primeval Titan" in black Sharpie.
Just a bit bitter.

Not a great card by any means, but he holds a special place in my heart for being the kind of beast you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley, a light alley, on a battlefield with 200 men behind you, or on a battlefield with 200 men in front of you.

Kindercatch is better; 6/6 common Spirit creature for 3 colorless and 3 green mana. Just as useless, but a tad more useful.

Eh, better than Craw Wurm. Flavor text confuses me, because I imagine a vision quest (fasting for insight) would be flavored out as trading life for cards. Not usually a green thing.
Remember this being a beast in limited for a time. Woulda been better if it coulda been a dinosaur in limited for a time, but oh well... also wish he had an ability that let his sweet flavor and art be useable outside of the removal-scarce limited environment of Scars.

Considering the connection to Mirrodin, am I to expect an Omega Tyrranax at 5/6?

One of those cards thats utterly useless in constructed but thrown in for limited. Limited is WotC money making engine so thats what they design sets for.

Goes great in a Beast deck. With Krosan Warchief and Krosan Drover this guy's cost is {1}{G}{G}. He's a happy Mirrodin-esque dinosaur and has my favorite flavor text in the game.
