Okay, what the heck. A green 1-drop flying creature?? I'm just glad WOTC fixed this flavor violation with Zephyr Sprite...

No way man, this card was one of those cards that defined green!

Agreed. Small (generally 1/1) flyers are definitly part of green's pie.

Why is Zephyr Sprite rated higher? For the art? This is infinitely better for its color.

Fairies don't really fall into any existing color in magic. They are somewhat green by definition, but somewhat blue in philosophy. I guess the lorwyn fairies were made black because so many tribes in that block were green to begin with.

Best 1/1 flyer for 1 outside of Flying Men

Don't underestimate the power of an off-color flyer for 1, in the color of fast mana acceleration. While Birds of Paradise often takes its spot, the extra power can come in handy. Don't forget that this was a green allstar in the days of Fastbond, Giant Growth and Berserk.

Nice 1 drop for green, opponents dont expect flying as early threat vs green nowadays, just hit it with a titanic growth round 2 or something... and then Round 3 with Blanchwood Armor ;)

Faeries can actually be anything but White. :P Faeries are definitely somewhat Green by Birth, Mechanically Blue, and Attitude wise Red and Black. Yes, Red. maybe more Black, but if you can be Black and Green, you are pretty much Red.

Which reminds me: they need to print more Red gravehate, instead of only Red regeneration hate. Faeries could almost be White if you look at "Dance of the Sugar Plum Faeries", but I'd say the Whitest they are able to get is either G/W, U/W, or R/W, but not pure WW. also not B/W, except for Queen Maeve herself.

@DarthParallax: I don't know, the Golgari have never seemed to have any red tendencies.

Considering how rare any form of evasion can be for green, this is an amazing card. People have already noted how easily a mono-green deck can buff this creature.
