YES! Scryb Sprites, we've missed you. And I'm glad that you're finally in the right color. Go on, waste your lightning bolts on THIS.

Oh look, a pretty good blue card! And guess what, it's a Faerie! Since apparently Faeries are the only good blue deck available now, especially looking at all the blue garbage in M10! HOORAY! I do love me some of that fast blue aggro action! Who needs to draw cards and counter stuff all the time, that's no fun, and not blue AT ALL!

Flying Men that have turned into faeries. At least it's better than the Fugitive Wizard. And as for it being a faerie, how cliche. If the set is being remade, why not spice it up with a card that's interesting, like a flying human wizard. While the creature type isn't so usable as the faeries (which will be gone come the next set to come out), at least a flying human wizard would have some really cool art that could exemplify the blue concept of bending magic to make you do things otherwise impossible to do on your own.

OMG, you tards. Which do you guys think is simply more resonant for a flying creature: a simple faerie, or a guy on a flying carpet/broom/cloud/what-have-you? I thought so.

My first impression was: Yes! a 1/1 flying fearie for just 1 blue mana without a drawback!!! Then: Sh*t! it's not a rogue!!! I might still use the nightshade stinger over this...

Easy, well rounded, and a good target for your opponent to waste spells on. Or a good weenie to block fatass creatures exluding the other complicated abilities that are in use. I used this card and made the opponent waste and O-Ring on it. x4 These can be used with Scion x3 in my deck for instant satisfaction. But like all faerie decks If you can't counter enough or kill enough or even mill enough token decks will overwhelm you even with Oona and Scion and Mistbind.

A simple, effective version of white's suntail hawk.
A nice choice for a faerie deck, bye bye Cloud Sprite

One-drop with evasion, could come in use.

Sholux: Well, as a fae, it still triggers most of of the prowl abilities of your rogues. So it's about half as effective.
Thaxan_Number_14: That's not as obvious a question as you may think. Fae are more resonant with the players as the symbol of a deck type, and appear more in celtic myth. Flying humans actually appear more universally in mythology. It's not an issue of what's actually resonant. Remember, Wizards said that Jump had more flavour than Flight. And, of course, the unstated opinion that Jumping was more resonant than Leaping.
sir_dwar: That's why I love this. It always seemed strange to me that white should get the cheap, effective flyers when it seems more natural in blue. I guess blue was supposed to get the poor-man's creatures, but that's not really an excuse when it comes to cheap or mid-range flyers. Angels almost always outclassed blue in that regard.
Zulp: More push to give blue a defining creature type, I'm afraid. They're throwing Fae and Merfolk at the wall and seeing which one sticks. After the tournement success of the little guys, no doubt they'll ease back, but I doubt they'll give up Fae any more than they'll give up elves (well, okay, maybe not THAT. Wizards likes their elves.). Because if people play them, they must like them, right?
True_Mumin: Now, let's not be harsh. Look at Zedikar. We got.....Mindbreak Trap....and....uh...

I find the card to be mildly satisfactory, only because of the fact that it's a 1/1 flyer for CMC 1. Other than that, it doesn't have much to offer in Fae and Lantern Kami would better fit White Weenie decks looking for a bit of evasion.
That said, however, I can see myself playing this in a Blue or Dual Colour Blue Aggro based/Aggro Control deck. Any one drop would do good, especially with that sort of evasion.

A great one-drop for blue, though I feel bad for Cloud Sprite. Still, feels strange to have a blue card that's this efficient without drawbacks.
It's about time Wizards realized that Flying Men was one of the most appropriate 1cc blue creatures ever.

@TrueMumin, DoctorKenneth: Please tell me what color Jace, the Mind Sculptor is. Then tell me how many formats it's banned in. Then tell me what set it's in. And we aren't even COUNTING newer formats!

I don't mind Faeries being moved into Blue, but I wish they hadn't been moved out of Green. Birds of Paradise is among my favorite Green cards because it shows how Birds are Green and Flying Life exists. I understand that we cannot go Happy-Go-Lucky with a bunch of Ho-Ohs flying around (WURG?), but at the same time, I think that Flying is just So Absolutely Fundamentally Core to the game that Green needs more of it.
Pick one of the GreekMyth/Fantasia-like Flying Creature types that White gets, either Pegasus or Griffin or something, and make it Green's New Flying. Or how about Green can have Hippogriffs? I understand Green cannot have much Flying- it cannot have the best Flying- we ought not to just deligitimize Spiders by making Flying too much Better Than Reach, but we Still need to recognize that Flying is a thing that all Colors need.
How about Flying Humanoid Wizards? I know it sounds a bit Blue, but- it could be Flying + crappy P/T numbers, which sort of makes Flying Humans make more sense.
Green needs Flying.

@Shadoflaam : Just ti clarify, faeries (in general) don't fit exactly in the green color's mentality. Green is nature, good, care, evolution. Faeries are mischievous creatures, hiding, usuallyattacking people.
