EDH Gold in any deck playing green.

pretty useless as if your missing a certain colour unles every card you find with it provides that mana your opponent should choose to bury those lands, and any lands with abilities would be high on the list of things to bury as well. so yea unless you can set it up so they have a truely differcult choice it's pretty crappy but hey least its an instant so you can do it at the end of their turn rather then wasting yours

I guess you can run it with Life From the Loam. Sure, it technically is a green Gifts Ungiven, but it's with lands, and how much can you do with lands? I guess I'll have to wait to be proven wrong.

I see what you did there.

Simply love this one, if i'm not mistaken that's the first rare land tutor ever aside from Scapeshift, and even a pretty awesome one. And it's at least the first "plain" tutor so far.

43_land.dec will be very happy about this card. Now you have a new powerful ability to get lands in your graveyard, and this way there's even more card advantage through Life from the Loam.

Compering this one to Gifts Ungiven is like compering Rebuking Ceremony to Plow Under.
Basically it's do the same thing, but it actually sucks.

This card is pretty good. In the land legacy deck it can be broken since it can be pretty hard to choose between tabernacle at Pendrell Vale, maze of ith, rift stone portal, and nantuko monastery or any other of the lands that can ruin your day depending on the match up, even glacial chasm would be hard to sort out. Overall this card is good in legacy and extended applications, highly abusable with a cruciable of worlds deck in extended that uses dark depths combo. Definitely a johnny card that can make you think outside the box.

You guys are missing the point of this card! It's sick! You search for 4 different fetch lands! In one turn you've ripped 5 lands out of your deck, by turn 2 you've thinned your deck by 6 lands and helped make sure you have the right colors of land in play. This card by itself makes 5 color zoo, and several other potential 5 color decks even more sick.

Personally I'm thinking fist of the suns combined with Emrakul, the Aeons Torn and several other cards to make a sick, sick deck.

It's focused, yes, but entirely able to be abused. Just think outside the box, people. Jesus.

This card is decent if you have a few different types of land, as in Tranquil Thickett, Evolving Wilds, Barren Moor, and basic lands, but even so, it's situational.

you guys are not seeing the point of this card. It thins out your deck by 4 land cards, which is huge...and serves as a great combo with Knight of the Reliquary. Since it's instant speed you can also play it to give your knights +2/+2 so they survive a burn spell. 4.5/5.

Nice. Best in combo with Crucible of Worlds, especially if you are running Azusa or similar. Also goes good with Life from the Loam (which also combos well with Azusa).

I just realized today that there will probably be a card called "Realms CHARTED" if u go by the fact that there is a card called Gifts Ungiven with a humanoid figure in the same position as this card, with a similar effect. There is also a card called Gifts GIVEN which has one opposite part of the same effect as the first one.

Hello, Urza. Here's either your Tower, Mine or Power Plant. Should I suggest a Petrified Field, too?

Edit: Just get back those lands from the graveyard with your Sun Titan and you've just turned your giant into some slower Primeval Titan. Not sure why you'd want to do that, except if you can't afford the real thing. At least, the land you return to the battlefield isn't tapped...

Every card sucks until some pro wins a PTQ with it, or some retardedly strong combo is found for it. Anyone else remember Dark Depths being $1 before Zendikar came out?

This is one of those cards that you need to convince (force) yourself to think that it is good.
It really sucks and there are dozens of easier combos to pull off what she tries soooo painfully to do.

Edit...When Eldrazi first came out, these things were selling for 7 bucks a piece...Not sure why or how...but they were. I looked closely at this card and decided to dump her and run. Got 9 bucks for the pair I pulled and couldn't be happier. Now they can't give them away at Starcitygames.com. $ .99 cents each...and still...no one wants em.

Edit: make that .25 cents at CF......and this card still sucks.

This card is awesome, in the right deck. Obviously it wont be a Standard or Extended bomb, but in classic and legacy it does have a niche to fill.

I'll be getting a playset soon.

Rejected flavor text: "So where would you like me to take you; between the twin peaks? Or perhaps you'd like to try the fertile valley to the south? If you're feeling especially adventurous you could try to enter the dark cave, but few have ever entered there."

This card also cost only THREE mana compare to Gifts Ungiven's four,. Being green means you could easily be your second turn cast, thins your library of four lands and fill your hand with steady mana for the turns to come. Life from the Loan, Knight of Reliquary, Worm Harvest, Urza Lands, all could use its power.

I might put this into my 40 land deck. I actually kinda wish it was a sorcery though so burning wish can fetch it in the sideboard.

I'm definitely not running this in standard though. You get two worldwake manlands (and that's if you're running 3 allied colors) + 2 other lands, they dump your manlands, and you're left with a really crappy harrow.

Manland, dual land, wasteland, gimmick land. Simple, but effective. Probably has been nuked out of playability by the printing of Primeval Titan. At worst, this is double Sylvan Scrying. At best, it's green Gifts. And Gifts is pretty good.

Pretty cool in edh where you can search up all your different duals/legendary lands/manlands. For a ramp/deck thinner it's prety average.
That or they print a card that requires lands in hand (retrace?) or recurs lands to the field very easily and you might have a use for this card in competitive play. That or something to do with artifact lands (only 4 per deck and easy to bring back from grave).

Crucible of Worlds to cancel the drawback and you've just tutored yourself 4 lands (basic or non) for (2)(G). That's pretty awesome.

I like to unchart her realm.... anyways she looks like Una Truman.

Edh players are forgetting one thing - Ravnica Bounce Lands. With them in the right deck of 3+ colors, you definitely get more than your average Journey of Discovery's worth of land. Cast finding 3 rav bounce + some undesirable like Strip Mine or Volrath's, and you're easily given two bounce lands, 4 points worth of land drops.

This in addition to the straight utility alongside Life from the Loam or Crucible of Worlds. This card is top tier playable in 3+ color green, in almost every single build.

I read through all the comments here and I think the gems that I culled from all of that are two.

1. Crucible of Worlds.

2. and the Panoramas.

Wow, tested this in a token deck. DEAR LORD the speed this thing creates is unreal. Instant speed is icing on the color-shifted cake. Pretty BS with Loam as well.

This could become an interesting cycle:

5 rares that search for 4 things and your opponent chooses 2 of them.

Bodies Unburied: 4B
Sorcery- Rare

Search your graveyard for 4 creature cards with different names and reveal them. An opponent chooses 2 of those cards. Exile the chosen cards and put the rest into your hand. Then shuffle your graveyard into your library.

Fires Uncontrolled: 3RR
Sorcery- Rare

Search your library for 4 red cards with different names and reveal them. An opponent chooses 2 of those cards. Put the chosen cards into your graveyard and the rest into your hand. Then shuffle your library.

(playtest name: "Avengers UnAssembled"): 3WWW
Sorcery- Rare

Search your library for 4 Planeswalker cards with different names and reveal them. An opponent chooses 2 of those cards. Exile the chosen cards and put the rest onto the battlefield under your control. Then shuffle your library. Put a loyalty counter on each Planeswalker you control.

So- 1 4cmc, 1 3cmc, 2 5cmc, and 1 6cmc :)
