Nice early game cantrip. Make their mana ramper block your vanilla 2/2 and smile in triumph. Then draw a card to add insult to injury.

Very playable if only because it's removal in green, effectively.

This is about as close as green is going to come to removal. Still very vulnerable to your opponent's removal, but this is a cantrip so you only lose 1 mana worst case scenario. Good for taking out Dark Confident etc on the other side of the field, and if you succeed without losing your creature, card advantage as well. Too bad you can't choose who blocks. ~~~~

Makes anything into a Taunting Elf so you can swing all-out without fear of blockers next turn (barring vigilance). Also gives you card draw, and all for 1 mana. Sweet card

The card draw here isn't an 'advantage' per se, it merely replaces the card so you don't feel like you have wasted a slot in your deck.
I want to say "why splash Red for removal when you can use this instead?", but it isn't quite there yet.
Like where it is heading though.

I wouldn't say it turns it into a Taunting Elf because it doesn't have to be blocked by everything, it just has to be blocked.

This + Quest for the Gemblades = Joraga Warcaller = Win. Actually, this plus the quest plus anything equals a win. That's the biggest problem with the quest; you don't have any control over what sets off its trap. Well, now you do.

unfortunately if its a mana ramper they can just tap it in response...

anyone want to draw 3 cards for 1 green mana? Combine Irresistible Prey with Infiltration Lens for some serious early game card advantage.

@ DutchSanta, what? it dosn't say ALL creatures have to block it, thats what lure does. and why would vigilance matter weather or not they will be able to block you next turn, even if blocking did cause tapping for some reason they would still get an untap step before your next attack.

@ninjafish wanna know another way to draw 3 cards for one green mana? cast this on a precursor golem. Plus any extra golems give you more cards.
This card is so versatile! You can use it on an opponent's creature just to draw for 1 G mana, it can be used as removal or it can be used on a weenie (like eldrazi spawn) to attack while all other creatures swing in unblocked. This card is never a hinderence, early or late game. Instant removal is this cards only real weakness, but even the ability to draw fire in such a way is aweome in and of itself. This card is certainly no win-more card, it's a 1 mana game changer. 5/5 Stars

This card isn't spectacular, but is still functional. With green tramplers, it's pretty useful to attack and make a creature block and die. Any deathtouch creature becomes a convoluted conditional type of removal.
If you think your opponent might have a big creature and you also have a big creature (which really ought to be bigger, what with being green and all), you can save it so your wyrm tramples over their big creature while summoning sickness is still their problem.

Hey, its a situational removal that cantrips. The requirements are you have the biggest creature in green, and they have an untapped creature. Not too bad at all.
Saprazzan Heir looks truly irresistible today. Just hope your opponent doesn't disagree and gets rid of her in response (to make this spell fizzle), thus making it a 2-for-1 situation for him.
It's sitations like these where I think it would be interesting to have cantrips that grant the extra card for sure once they are cast, instead of after they resolved.
"When you cast ~, draw a card the next time the stack is empty."
If that's too long, it could be flavorfully keyworded if needed. Which in turn would allow interacting with this effect.
