Why does every Limited fodder black flier always suck so badly? You have to pick it because it's flying but you always wish he'd get you there faster and better...but at 3/2 he'd be too good...but 2/2 wouldn't have done it? It'd be harder to kill, because Forked Bolt would have to kill just it, and it wouldn't be another thing that dies to Shrivel...
This killed me every game in limited. Never underestimate the power of evasion sometimes.

Why can't they at least make it a 2/2 like all the other colors get? Has black really not improved since the days of Feral Shadow? And even that card was marginally better because of Spirit of the Night.

Kelinore Bat. Why the name change after only a year?
Edit : @chinkeeyong, I'm just wondering why they didn't reprint Feral Shadow, Dusk Imp, or Moaning Spirit. They had just printed a variation of the three with a new name, then did it again, less then a year later. I just feel like they are taking old cards, reprinting them with new names and calling them new cards. I feel sort of cheated. Imagine if they did this with Lightning Bolt. Can you imagine having 20 Lightning Bolts in one deck? Because as of right now I can have 20 common 2/1 fliers for with no other abilities in a single deck.

I tried this out in an aggresive mono-black deck, and trust me, he isn't worth it. Every time this gets out, i'm always thinking "man, why did i have to get you and not some other creature? you're the last one i need right now. even dread drone is better than this". some may find him useful, but i don't think he's worth your time at all.

This card could not be vanilla, especially if Kelinore Bats is the same damn thing!
Would've been great for a Bloodthirst effect considering the "Gloomhunter" aspect, a card/player was dealt damage and you drop this gloom hunting thing and it's got counters.
Possibly another effect like, remove a counter and this creature gains lifelink or deals blah blah damage to target creature.
