This is just hilarious to use with Gravity Well.

Drop Levitation first and watch your opponent cringe. Then again you have better things to do in Blue on turns 4 and 5.

Well it's official, I'm never using any Homelands cards again, since Serra Aviary was the last.

Could be fun in a blue-white/green eldrazi monument token deck.

Do not underestimate this card. It gives all nonflying creatures -2/-0. Which is almost like prevent 2 damage dealt by any creature your opponent controls. It's quite hilarious, if you can get multiple copies into play.

Think of it like a double edged version of Cumber Stone with an extra goody attached to it. It can stop lots of those pesky 1/1 tokens from swarming you.
You know it is big when you take a Gravitational $#!t.

Vampire nighthawk likes this. (4/3 with deathtouch lifelink and flying in a battle to control the skies...)
Nemisis of Reason likes this. (as if he wasn't already hard to kill)
Guard Gomazoa likes this. (The opponent will have to be a bit more clever than spamming suicidal fliers to stop whatever strategy you got.)
Eldrazi monument likes this ( like comboing with this thing is necessary)
Tokens don't like this
most vampires don't like this
infect creatures don't like this
Midgame game changer.
Late game bomb.
Very fun to play 5/5
Quite a good improvement over Cùmber Stone, that I think is interesting but not so efficient... This should be very funny and powerful, not overcosted but I think that general -X/-0 can be better without being broken (quite the contrary, actually...). However the +2/+0 part is just awesome!

This inspired me to make a W/U flying deck.

Yes, it's all about time stamps. You swing with a creature. Gravity Well causes it to lose flying. You then give it flying. Since the creature has already gone through the "ok, I'm attacking" phase, gravity well does not re-apply to that creature. Far as I know, the only card that can 'permanently' make a creature lose flying is Gravity Sphere, since it's a constant effect.
I got tired of losing with this in a mostly-flyers control deck, and made a totally flying Spirit aggro deck. It promptly crushed several of my best decks.
Overall, this is really good (at least in casual). I was so proud when Jonathan Sukenik a.k.a. Watchwolf used this in a Standard tourney and this broke the $1.00 mark!

guess i finally found a use for these storm crows...
I Like to play this with Serra Sphinx. Not the best flier around, but solid, and the vigilance is amazing when your opponents need a 6/ to kill her. Obviously Archetype of Imagination and Favorable Winds fuel more flying shenanigans.

I was wondering about gravitational shift + gravity well + Caller of Gales
could you give flying after gravity wells ability triggers somehow?
