Just shell out one extra mana for good cards now and not possibly too late from now.

Did you notice that you have to sacrifice the enchantment in addition to removing the counters, True Mumin?
It's effectively a pretty delayed Counsel of the Soratami which costs 1 less.

Gives you control over when you draw the cards without requiring the mana be paid on the spot - I like it.

I like this expedition, you can draw the cards when you want them, which is very nice. It gets really good if you cast Harrow the following turn. 4/5

Not so great except in U/G, which is not so great.

Handy but I feel that it's a little underused since it only gives your two cards, but it's cheap and easy to get more with, so I guess it's still good.

In landfall decks, you will often be drawing the cards on your next turn after playing this. Not a long delay, and you have all your mana available to play the cards you draw. Nice with Zendicar's kicker spells.
Edit: This and the other two blue quests are natural combo partners for Mesa Enchantress, available in M10, or for those playing with older cards, Viridian and Argothian Enchantresses.

It nets once card advantage over course 2-3 turns. Not amazing, but ok. Also, U landfall is underplayed as is anyways.

@Mode: I think True_Mumin meant that it's nice if you cast Harrow the turn after you play this; that gets you all the counters you need.

I guess the Phyrexians are really good at quests.

Would be really strong as 3 cards, but understandable for a common. Still you cant rate a card much more then 3 stars when your wondering if divination is probably better.

@Hunter06: The mana investment has to be done at sorcery speed, and that's what matters. Control players run instant draw to save mana for the end of their opponent's turns.

Draw for limited? I don't fault them for making it for that, but its rotting in my binder now. I would rather run Divination, and notably I haven't run divination in any deck in a long time. If you can't accelerate your land drops you are waiting 2 turns for one card advantage. I know someone will say 'but you can accelerate land drops' which is true, but blue doesn't do that, and this card isn't worth it even if you can drop 2 lands right after it. (Patron of the Moon and Dreamscape Artist are all I can think of.) Its like a suspend card that can be destroyed and might not have a time counter removed if you aren't drawing lands, keep in mind that time is as much a resource as mana.

Cards that are reliant on other cards to work need to have a power boost to make up for the situational nature. I prefer the similar Hatching Plans as an example.
