this is a very irritating card for my opponents in my Jund deck because if they kill it, i have a token in play. It is like this creature basically replaces itself with a sponge.

You can't devour it twice to one creature. You need to declare all the creatures you're devouring before they are devoured, and the token doesn't come into play until after.

it makes a good turn 1 drop, and with a life and limb/verdoloth the ancient/timber protector, your opponent thinks twice about blocking it as the resulting creature will be even more dangerous
it's like a green counterpart to Goblin Arsonist. Better than that card, I'd say.
