Helpful in Worldwake, no doubt. the 3/1 flyer isn't bad either, although the cost hurts him a bit.

Green should have a protection from lands

Blue makes more sense than green for pro land. Blue is about the sky, the great expanse above the trees and their firm hold on the ground below.

So, this guy is protected from Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle, Quicksand, the Zendikons, and the man-lands. I can see him being good in draft, and possibly a sideboard for decks running the man-lands as major threat, but otherwise, a very iffy card at best.

Wow only in the Zendikar block will you ever see pro lands, useless out side of Zendikar though.

The combination of pro lands and flying doesn't seem to fit very well. In my opinion, it should have been only either one and 1 boost to toughness

Flavorwise, it doesn't make any sense how Celestial Colonnade can't block this.

When I first saw this I thought, wow what a useless card. But now that I've seen how much people are using the creature land enchants (especially in draft) and manlands, this is actually quite good.

I must now join the hordes and masses that cry out as one, "Protection from... Wait, what?". It makes perfect sense, and it's pretty much a free ability so it can't possibly be a bad thing, but... Wow. That's just funny. Seems like something that should be on an Unglued/Unhinged.

3 power in the air for 3 mana isn't that bad in itself, and the ability can only be beneficial right? 3.5/3

Protection from lands? Like lands turning into creatures? Man, how many of them have flying or reach anyway? strange ability, would make more sense on a none-flyer.

Ignoring the pro-land, this is blues most powerful flying 3 drop without any drawbacks other then Vendilion Clique, and that's if I'm not counting being legendary as a drawback. And by most powerful I mean that its power (being 3) is higher. The pro-land just makes this card sexy.

While it's an O.K. card, the flavour text bugs me on so many levels! What the hell is "gravity current"? And do drakes suddenly give live birth now?

This guy can get REALLY annoying if your running a Zendikon/Manland deck.

"Protection from lands?" I laughed very hard when I first saw this card. And art isn't bad neither...

Since few people in standard actually run the Zendikons or man lands, this card essentially reads "Protection from Valakut", which makes it decent for a blue sideboard. Even then, its application is limited, as Valakut is primarily used to target players, and they'll save a lightning bolt or something similar for this. Nothing terrible, and certainly interesting, but ultimately too situational to use. 3/5

@Tiggurix: Read Gravitational Shift and the like. Gravity is weird on Zendikar.

This is really great agressive blue flying creature... You know, Blade of the Sixth Pride was already pretty good, and this costs U more with addition of flying. Protection from lands is just icing on the cake.

Don't forget that this has protection from Inkmoth Nexus. That can be quite relevant sometimes and I suspect it's going to be a lot more relevant in the near future.

Run this card for itself. The protection from lands bit is just there to make everybody at the table laugh.

At of the time of this post, this card ranks #6089 out of 12177 cards legal for Vintage format by its community rating, making it the most "average" card in all of Magic.

While not the craziest card I've seen, Pro land is by far one of my favorite things to read on a card ever.

"Protection from lands works like any other protection ability. Horizon Drake can't be blocked by land creatures, all damage that would be dealt to it by lands (including combat damage from land creatures) is prevented, and it can't be the target of activated or triggered abilities from lands (including your own Teetering Peaks, for example)."

Wow, I didn't know I had a Teetering Peaks.

How many roads must a man walk down
Before you call him a man?
How many seas must a blue drake sail
Before she sleeps in the sand...

The answer, my friend, is on the horizon. The answer is on the horizon.

Pro-lands is actually really quite good with so many prolific manlands that like to sneak by in a lot of formats. On top of that, 3 evasive power on its own is pretty impressive for the cost.

Protection from lands is still quite hilarious to say, though.
