Oh I come from a land, from a faraway place Where the caravan camels roam Where it's flat and immense And the heat is intense It's barbaric, but hey, it's home-
When the wind's from the East And the Sun's from the West And the sand in the glass is right Come on down Stop on by Hop a carpet and fly To another Arabian Night!
Arabian Nights! Like Arabian days More often than not Are hotter than hot In a lot of good ways-
Arabian Nights 'Neath Arabian moons A fool off his guard Could fall and fall hard! Out there on the dunes....
Open Sesame! Here we GO!
Pack your Shield! Pack your Sword You will never get bored Though get beaten or gored you might! Come on down Stop on by Hop a carpet and fly To another Arabian Night!!!

I would love to see some more biome related lands. Like land - Jungle. Taps for green, and creatures with flying can't block creature without flying this turn.
I'm sure something cool could be done alone those lines. They don't need to be super powerful, just super flavorful.

No offense Wizards or anyone else but you can tell FTV: Realms isn't that overpowered if 9 of the 15 lands are legal in Modern and 1/2 of them don't even see play.
@leomistico, read here: http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtgcom/arcana/1643, I think it's kinda cool his art gets recognized even after his passing and I think this one in particular is a masterpiece.
As far as the card, maybe wouldn't be competitive in today's standard but I still use it in Pauper, it can be really effective to stop up first striking annoyances with one toughness or make them think twice if there's a clear board and they've got some 1/1s they want to attack with, especially if they're utility creatures

How can the art be by Glen Angus? He died in 2007: http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtgcom/daily/mc100 Did they plan to reprint this card so much ahead...? I would like to own one of this card only for this reason! Glen Angus was a great artist...
Great card, with a lot of usefulness, but a little less now that power creep affected a lot of small creatures.
4.5/5
@ imsully2: I didn't read it (or didn't remember it, more likely...), so thank you very much! Great story behind this art. I'd like they put every version of a card, even promo and token, because I'd like to see them, and because, if so, I would have understand this art.
Also, like you, I still use this card in my Izzet Modern control, and sometimes very useful!

I use this with first-strike creatures in a casual white deck. It's actually fairly effective! You'd be surprised how useful this can be.
I've got a balduvian trading post so I might consider putting this in my red deck to ultra-ping :P
It's pretty flavorable. And weirdly also affordable.

@ j_mindfingerpainter Agreed, I don't know why you got such a bad rating for pointing out the obvious. Although I can understand a lot of the additions to the set were nods to different decks and strategies, when the high price tag is slapped on you want to get your money's worth, and a $0.75 addition is not your money's worth.....even if the art is amazing.
