Such great flavor. Works like a weak Pacifism for your enemy's attackers, but it's really cheap.

I wish this was reprinted in Scars. Would've helped to keep down some of the broken combos like Argentum Armor Quest for the Holy Relic with Memnite and Ornithopter.

Dismal by today's standards, but this was perhaps the first white common card that could deal with an enemy creature, which was something white badly needed. At the time, White only had piles of silly things like Pearled Unicorns and various banders to use against its larger opposing foes.

Classic card. I compare it more to Propaganda or Ghostly Prison than Pacifism. Sometimes I would rather they spend mana trying to deal me damage instead of using it on something else.

Obsoleted by Guard Duty. Regardless, I love cards such as this one that show white's sinister side.
