all i can say here is WOW, can you tase that synergy. This card just screams fun. Too bad it isnt a Creature - Vampire Wizard. That ability has been on all of 2 non- vampire cards. Still a SUPER fun Pinger.

Equiped with the not yet mentioned Gorgon Flail (cheaper than Quietus Spike) and it gives +1/+1 to Blood Cultist. Equiped also with Umbral Mantle it's good. In trouble, you can bring a 2 thoughness with her in the death by blocking and taping her after. Better than Prodygal Pyromancer for the same mana cost.
Flavorfully, it should have been a Vampire (look at the artwork).

this against a rusher deck. yup, i said rusher deck -- such a thing exists, i've faced one. most 1/1s i've ever seen. best battle i've ever had :P

Yes Gorgon Flail and this card were made for each other. I like the fact that her toughness increases with each kill, giving her greater resistance to burn spells.

hello blood cultist meet thornbite staff i think you will be the best of friends
I put her into my wither deck. Giving her wither basically made her into a scar generator. Plus she was great for stopping that pesky blowfly when things start dying because of -1/-1 counters.
And putting Blade of the Bloodchief on her anyway is great as long as she has something like Gorgan Flail, she'll get two +1/+1's every time anyway, just like a normal botb on a vamp. But botb along with meph and a gorgan flail means she'll get 4 each time, yummy, first kill and she's a 6/6 deathtouch.

Why do all my Chronicles cards have a white border and the ones you show are all black?

I pulled both one of these and a Quietus Spike. They're gonna get married.
Killing tokens doesn't boost her, because tokens disappear rather than entering the graveyard.

@SoulShatterer,
Incorrect. Tokens that leave the battlefield go to whatever zone they would normally go to (like the graveyard or your hand), and then are removed as a state based action. They enter the other zone, but aren't then long enough for anyone to respond to it.

Is it just me, or do you think this could be Olivia Voldaren's daughter?
@SoulShatterer. Tokens go to the grave, tokens go to the grave, tokens go to the grave... I'm not sure where the rumor ever came from that they do not. They don't last long, but they do trigger any and all events saying that they do.
110.5f A token that’s phased out, or that’s in a zone other than the battlefield, ceases to exist. This is a state-based action; see rule 704. (Note that if a token changes zones, applicable triggered abilities will trigger before the token ceases to exist.) 704.5d If a token is phased out, or is in a zone other than the battlefield, it ceases to exist.
Tokens buy the ticket and walk through the counting gate, they just never get to enjoy the rides.

Shame she deals only one damage and not her power. Still arguably better than Prodigal Pyromancer in a deck that runs red-black.

Even the costume looks a bit Innistrad-y
