Atm I casually play with a monoblack vampire deck, and would certainly consider putting her in it - I'd even be willing to put in some Dragonskull Summits and fetchlands in order to use her ability. It's almost like Blade of the Bloodchief was made for her (or Kalitas, of course - but Kalitas' ability isn't dependent on power, and as a token maker he's one you might want to hold back). I can see it now...
Turn 6: Vein Drinker
Turn 7: Blade of the Bloodchief equipped, then start going to town on all creatures capable of blocking your vamps (or getting past your defenses)
Having said that, once she gets beyond 4/4 she's going to become a target for spot removal - but I'd have her take a terminate over a Nocturnus any day of the week!

I typically hate building/using duel color decks but because of her alone I ended up building a red-black deck; her, terminate, and Blade Of The Bloodchief make for a fun deck XD
And to have Kor Dirge in with her isn't a bad idea; then with one those in hand you could take out two Serra Angel's with one stone ;)
On top of that keep your just pumped up Vein Drinker-- Bonus!

I've got a Red/Black deck that uses her quite effectively along with Rakka Mar, Terminate, Lightning Bolts, and Blightnings (and some speedy low mana creatures).
Wow, color me impressed. Great on so many levels, but what bugs me is she kinda looks like the frontman for Tokio Hotel. *shudder* Eesh!

Let me just say that this card was quite annoying back when I first got back into Magic. One friend played Bant, another played Grixis, and I played Jund. Needless to say, my tokens got munched more by this than my own creatures.

Well they finally solved that nagging problem of Sengir Vampire's triggered effect almost never happening. Then they had to go and ruin it by for some reason forcing you to play Red along with it. Yes, I know, it was Alara, they had to, but this card would have been much better as a Black-only affair in another set.

I liked this when I first got one at a Sealed tourny, but after many attempts to incorporate her into some constructed casual decks, I found it to be just too much trouble to use her. Like someone else said, the R mana requirement is a detriment, plus I always feel like I'm throwing mana away by playing with her, because I know after I kill a few creatures and pump her up, she's going by by if I swing with her. Just not worth the effort, I would actually prefer good ole Sengir Vampire and get right to attacking without the hassle. 2/5

@Superllama12 "Fight" damage happens simultaneously, but Vein Drinker deals damage before the target creature. So, for example, if you enchant Vein Drinker with Phyresis, she'll deal damage in the form of 4 -1/-1 counters, and then the target creature will deal damage equal to its power minus 4.
Anyway...this card. I like to imagine that she's Olivia's rebellious teenage daughter.

For those assuming that Vein Drinker can deal lethal damage to a target with her fight ability and therefore not suffer damage herself, don't be so sure. The Oracle rulings for this card don't seem to support that interpretation of the ability.
