One of the underrated and forgotten previously-restricted cards.

Great card in long games. You can't beat the casting cost either. :)

aaaand Turn 1 win with a certain land. Your opponent won't be able to react, not with their lands gone, their life somewhere at -230246346346, and every card in their deck exiled to the GONE FROM THE FREAKING GAME FOR FREAKING FOREVER Zone.

Many cardstores banned the orb once tournaments started lasting until three in the morning.

So simple a card, endless possibilities. As stated above, this card is famous for its combos and prolonging a game. I wonder if this card was thought of as a piece of junk when it first came out? when i first saw it it didn't seem good. But now.... 5/5

@jsttu: No, people knew how strong this was even when it first came out. One of the big decks of the era was Erhnamgeddon, based around playing an Erhnam Djinn and then casting Armageddon or Balance, using Swords to Plowshares and Disenchant to remove anything your opponent got out.

This card fit perfectly in those decks -- you were planning to Armageddon eventually anyway, so it was at least a bunch of free life, and it also let you use your Balance as a second Armageddon. And if you never drew either, you could at least sacrifice your forests so your opponent couldn't take advantage of the forestwalk granted by the djinn.

Also, it comboed well with Land Tax, removing extra land from your deck while giving you life.

I've had the same Zuran Orb in a deck since I first got it nearly 20 years ago.
