Would it be legal to have a card like Ensnaring Bridge out? And use this card's effect?

Would the attackers still be unblocked and deal it's damage or would changing the attack of the creatures affect it if the controller with Ensnaring Bridge was 3 or less cards in their hand?

I think it would be completely legal. Cool art.

I like this card, as it's ability can be both used offensivly and on the defense. 3.5 stars.

I don't see how it can be use defensively as state by Dalek9, unless you have something else that did 1 damages to each creature or oponents creature have a power higher than 4. Personnaly I use it offensively. It works well with Inkfathom Infiltrator and Glen Elendra Liege as each unbloked creature do 6 damages. Rating 4/5.

It works on defense in the sense that if you have one unblocked attacker you can turn it into a 4/1 and lightning bolt it, or volcanic fallout etc. Although usually its just better to kill the opposing creature normally, so its more for just emergency situations. For example you can turn that flying baneslayer into a 4/1, and then kill it with anything. Seems like sort of a weaker stinkdrinker bandit though, you could use both together, but then the activations on this one take mana. The plus side to it is only that it can be used on anything, and its only a 2 mana creature with a hybrid cost.

Would imagine its meant to be used with either inkfathom infiltrators, sygg river cutthroat, or if you wanted to splash green the new jhessian infiltrator.

Exactly you couldn't have this and Night souls out, even for one turn to use it because it just gets sacrificed right as it hits the playing field, but either way it is still a great card.

Personally, I really love this card, especially since it has fear. Maybe not much of a competitor in constructed, but if you combine it with an army of small evasion creatures, this really packs one hell of a punch.
Turn 1 - island, 1/1 flyer
turn 2 - swamp, this, attack for 1.
Turn 3 - island, two 1/1 flyers (or something), attack for 1 or two (as it has fear and stuff...)
Turn 4 - attack with everything, activate this, and you just might do about 16 damage at once :)

Personally, I combine it with ninjas and Writ of Passage. Believe it or not, that deck was banned for a long time in my friends' playing group :)

If you wanted to use it on defense,Doran, the Siege Tower could turn all attackers into effective 1/1s.

Fantastic with Night of Souls' Betrayal and any Merfolk Lord, e.g. Lord of Atlantis (so that your witch doesn't die). Then you have "2BlueBlack: All attacking creatures die."

Take it to the face, Progenitus. There's very few creatures in the game that can resist or survive getting turned into a 3/0, and neither Progenitus nor Emrakul stand any chance against this strategy. (Stuff with +1/+1 counters or buffs would survive, that's about it.)

Note - the insta-death-for-attackers doesn't apply to your Merfolk if you spend the 2BlueBlack on your turn, because your Lord gives them +1/+1. In that case you're getting +3/+0 to each creature. Pretty sweet.

Lightmine Field seems fun too.

Seems like it might be fun with ninjas. That split mana cost helps too!
