Really good against reanimator decks

Vektor pretty much said what I was going to say: This is the card to have when you're up against reanimator. Reanimator's usually pretty good at searching the deck for what it needs, though, so this solution might not be permanent. It is better than Wrath of God in this instance, nonetheless. It has limited uses outside of it.

A truly amazing spell. Deals with... well, everything. And that's what makes it so good: nothing survives. And no reanimation or bonuses from going to graveyard, either. Excellent Wrath variant.

Well there's another little situation aside from reanimator decks where this card is more useful than Wrath of God:
When facing the iron man.

Elder Dragon Highlander strategy note: This card is noted for its use in being able to keep an opponent's general off the battlefield. Just make sure your own general isn't in play when you cast this.

After this decks will be quite creature dry. Moreso if you searched for some.
My affinity deck will pretty much be drawing land for the rest of FOREVER if this was played after it got going, with the creature half of my deck suddenly going from play to the bottom of my library.

I play and draw most of my deck.
I put all your creatures on the bottom. Feel free to draw 1 card per turn and hope its something even close to good, cause I'm gonna use my enchantment/burn/token gen/etc deck to its full effect.

Reboot cards are always fun. This one in particular is intriguing, if nothing else because of the way it gets rid of the monsters... It can really turn drawing your opponent drawing his best creature early from a lucky thing to not such a lucky thing.

Why has no-one brought up Persist? This is designed to deal with Persist.

I think this is better than Wrath for creature-light decks like U/W control. If used late game it can leave the enemy defenseless by preventing dredge, persist, regenerate, and flashback (etc.) from occurring. The only creature that is good against this it Panglacial Wurm XD

Better than Wrath in your Rebel deck, methinks.

So long, Marit Lage. Bye bye Darksteel Colossus. Hasta la vista, Kaldra! No, wait...

There are alot of creatures around at the moment that make me want to play this over something like Day of Judgement.

What order do the creatures go on the bottom of your opponent's library? Would you be able to see which order they've put them in? I want to know how this would work with the Tunnel Vision combo in EDH.

Seirix: Each player chooses the relative order of the cards he or she is putting on the bottom of his or her library, regardless of who controlled them while they were on the battlefield. Players don't reveal this order to other players.

I would often much rather have this card than Day of Judgment or Wrath of God, simply because it can deal with creatures that the two aforementioned can't, such as those that are indestructible or have persist. More notably, it gets around graveyard hax and cards that would otherwise prevent creatures from being destroyed, which are both annoyingly common in multiplayer.

As an added note, this card is a massive curveball in EDH/Commander, because you can use it to put commanders on the bottom of their owner's library, which is one of the few places from which you cannot opt to return your commander to the command zone. Playing it can make you either a hero or a huge jerk.

Love this card - I play in a meta with a lot of Wraths, DoJs and Damnations, so when players build creature decks they know to protect said creatures with Eldrazi Monument or some kind of recursion like Genesis.

So we were getting along fine with that arrangement... and then Hallowed Burial showed up, and started making a real mess of things. I personally prefer it over Final Judgment - Final Judgment has the much better effect IMO, but of course Hallowed Burial is a lot more accessible at 5 mana which is why I prefer it.
Often waiting until 6 for a sweeper can be a deadly if you don't have board supremacy (which is unlikely if you want said sweeper ^^).

Possibly the best board-sweeper in EDH, since it can permanently remove enemy generals. Very good in other formats too, although Day of Judgment / Wrath of God are usually more efficient.

Some friends and I were playing EDH recently. On one round of turns everyone played their commander for one reason or another. Then Lin Sivvi, Defiant Hero Decided to throw this sucker down, thought he was so clever. Little did he know I had a Tunnel Vision in my hand. We all saw who had the last laugh.

This will definitely see a reprint in the Innistrad block. It fits so flavorfully!

A great way to deal with persist / undying creatures. Works well with Squadron Hawk too.

@occamsrazor wit

You have your reprint and then some. Say hello to Terminus.

Considering how resilient creatures have become to simple destroy effects, this card is probably the best sweeper in Modern right now.

Very powerful card. Besides getting countered or flicker effects, creatures simply cannot escape being locked out of the game, including EDH generals. They can still tutor, but this hoses indestructible, persist, graveyard shenanigans, whatever.

Amusing combo with Cellar Door. Prevent your opponent from tutoring for their guys! Prime yours for reanimation without having to give your opponent the opportunity! Collect free zombies!
