I like this card for summoning stuff for a lot less, but does it also affect the costs of Activated abilities on other creatures? I know it seems like a dumb question, but since the rulings are disabled, I really don't know...

Brighthearth Banneret's ability reduces the casting cost of Elemental spells and Warrior spells by 1. That includes alternate costs (e.g. Elemental creatures with Evoke), however it does not reduce costs for activated abilities of anything.

probably the worst of the bannerets, although all of them are still good.

A very good card especially if you've picked up the Element Thunder Planechase pack or have made a warrior deck. This guy makes everything you cast in both cheaper in one and working in tandem with Smokebraider in the Elemental side, you can start playing your big hitters much faster.

good ability, better the more elementals you have. it is not the best though because while it uses a pair of good creature types, Elemental is not exactly a tribe that gets along well. still effective Mana Ramping because it chops off 1 colorless mana from a manacost.

Not many would use the reinforce, I'm going to assume, but it may help in a pinch

would this card reduce the cost by 2 if it were ele/war like nova chaser?

@Truestiltskin Nope, it would just lower the cost by 1.
@Sanderleet I think you forgot to mention the necessity of a sac outlet, such as Bloodthrone Vampire.

Does this creature reduce the cost of Elemental warriors (say Nova Chaser) by 2 then?

It helps with Evoke, but what about Suspend or Unearth (for the latter I'm thinking Hellspark Elemental specifically)?

Animar is a great match with this card. Reinforce adds +1/+1 counter onto Animar, or you make other elementals cheeper to cast, further power up Animar.

And, if I'm right, the cost reduction also works for creatures with Evoke. Benneret says, "Elemental spells and Warrior spells you cast," and Evoke is, "You may cast this spell for its evoke cost." Therefore, all Elementals with Evoke are even cheaper now.

I think this guy deserves better than three stars. He works wonders in certain decks. Bramblewood Paragon and his reinforce ability gives you a little flexibility and treachery. Combo him with Radha, Heir to Keld and it can give your warrior deck some decent acceleration. He's not the best card, but he should be at the very least a 3.5-4

I've actually won a couple of games thanks to the reinforce ability. Not something you'd expect to be helpful, but it's nice for this to have an alternate use for late game.
