Cascade on a 5 drop is ridiculous. I bet this would be extremely effective if used right.

I've really come around to this card now. It's a bit random; but it is card advantage creature kill which is hard to come by. Feels a little odd you might hit another kill spell. I'd prefer to run it in R/B burn-control: -It's damage, so if you put it on a big creature, you'll probably hit more burn to finish it off -It puts more cards in the 'yard than normal, working with Lavamancer -If you kill the creature you may kill another or burn their face -Running into Koth would be pretty freaking awesome -Same with Flametongue Kavu. Potential 3-for-1 there :D

The thing about this card, it usually destroys a creature and then does a whole bunch of other unspeakable things. Worst case you get like a birds of paradise and destroy something with 4 toughness, best case you just set off a cascade chain and got a crapton of board advantage for one 5 mana spell.
