Dear God, it's expensive. Not quite up to task in limited or constructed. Seething Song doesn't help, because it doesn't help to play this thing earlier. You'll have fewer Mountains in play, thus weakening the spell!

Of all the "deal damage equal to the number of mountains you control" cards, this is my favorite, because you only play these spells late in the game. And this is the most expensive (except for Fire Dragon...wow, what a creative name...) . It might not be worth the cost, but in the long run, the mana cost is pointless. For cards like these, it's just the effect!

It's a good lategame bomb in monored, and can easily be a 2 for 1, or push in for 6+ damage.

Fantastic. I really, really want this to become a core set staple.

This + Prismatic Omen is basically you winning the game or board-wiping the field. This card is so overpowered even though it costs 6 mana.

If you've focused your burn on your opponents' creatures and the game has drawn out, this can deal huge chunks of damage at a pretty efficient cost. Also, recurring this with Chandra Ablaze is pretty brutal.
