Nice in combo with Boldwyr Heavyweights; counters the fairly major downside of that card. Play the Heavyweights and then crush whichever creature your opponent puts into play with at least 8 damage (possibly 10+ if you already have a Sunrise Sovereign or Obsidian Battle-Axe in play).
Also, as it's a tribal can be played for 1 mana if you have a Stindrinker Daredevil out or be searched for with Giant Harbinger. Very useful creature kill in a pure giant deck.

The first set I drafted to any serious degree was Lorwyn, and though I was fairly new to the game, I should have known better than to draft this as frequently as I did. True to the parasitic draft that was LOR-LOR-LOR,
However, when cracking a pack of Lorwyn, nothing provides more resonance to the flavor and setting of the world than Crush Underfoot. This card is the stuff that kitchen table dreams are made of, especially when it involves a multiplayer game and competiting Hamletback Goliaths or a rogue Boldwyr Heavyweights.
The Lorwyn block's silliness was a great one-block experiment, and while it's dissatisfying how few of the Magic audience actually appreciated it, its cards like this that will get new players imagining just how many giants are needed in a set to justify this card's inclusion.
Oh, and it has a perfect name.
