Show me another card that's a 5/7 attacker for 3 mana. (assuming you play a forrest and treefolk that turn). Slap on lure and you can devastate your oponent on turn 4 (turn 3 with mana acceleration).

What is better is if Obsianian battle axe is in play then he becomes a 7/8 with haste. Nasty for turn 3 with a birds or hierarch in play turn one.

Does this get +2/+2 if the Treefolk you play is countered?

@a7141988
Yes, it does get +2/+2 since the spell is considered played before it is countered.
I never noticed that there were cards with landfall-like abilities before ZEN...
The only problem here is that if you have mana accel, like many {G} decks do, you'll probably be running less lands in your deck (causing this ability to trigger less). Still a decent card though.

Benefits from Recross the Paths and Rampant Growth. Play it with Reach of Branches for a gargantuan creature combined with lots of 2/5 treefolk tokens. Also, Terramorphic Expanse to go for a little deck-thinning, and definitely run with Leaf-Crowned Elder to up your quota of treefolk per turn. Seedguide Ash could be good as a finisher.
i ran all green treefolk i always ran about 30 land sick withdauntlessdourbark out they're

Why stop there, OpenSeasonNoobs? With a likely treefolk deck that would include this card and Harrow: Turn 1: Forest, Treefolk Harbinger Turn 2: Forest, Bosk Banneret Turn 3: Forest, Battlewand Oak Turn 4: Forest, Harrow + Dauntless Dourbark
This would make the Battlewand Oak a 9/11 on turn 4, with a 9/9 Dourbark ready for the Timber Protector to give them +1/+1 and Indestructibility on Turn 5.

If you need another hint, all I'll say is Frazzled Editor.
(Don't blame me for the awful joke, I had to :L)
This guy's a great early beater for Treefolk Tribal decks. Give him Rancor to fix his evasion problem and go to town.
