Great card I have one in my kithkin deck and it can wreck havok on a mass of attacking creatures. If there are a lot of low powered creatures attacking or blocking you can take them out with just the tap of this card.

goes really well with greatbow doyen, doing 2 damage to player per attacking/defending creature, just a little nuts imo

equip it with Gorgon Flail to destroy all attacking or blocking creatures you oppent throws at you. great combo!!!!!!

And now, with the advent of Worldwake, we now have somethin' better to put on this gal than Gorgon Flail. Ladies and gentlemen, I submit, for your viewing pleasure, Basilisk Collar! Cheaper to play than the flail, and grants lifelink as well!

@Gwafa_Hazid & Butcher969

...... Correct me if I'm wrong, Deathtouch only applies to Combat Damage right? Using a tap ability like Brigid, Hero of Kinsbaile wouldn't be considered combat damage. Gorgon Flail and Basilisk Collar are both Deathtouch.

What you need is Venomous Fangs.

Nope, Deathtouch's "Creatures dealt damage by this creature are destroyed" effect applies to any damage. The secondary Deathtouch effect that lets you distribute its combat damage at will only affects combat damage, however.

This card would be awesome unequipped, throwing on the basilisk collar or gorgon flail make it an absolute beast. I think that i would go with the gorgon flail for the added +1+1 which protects me from atleast 1 lightning bolt. I still shiver at thinking about the combination of this card + basilisk collar + sanguine bond.

I can say noone will attack you if you have this equipped with basilisk collar and sanguine bond out. Same with this equipped with Gorgon Flail.

This chick and Greatbow Doyen are seriously a KILLER combo. 4 Greatbow Doyen, 4 Brigid, Hero of Kinsbaile, 4 Gorgon Flail, 4 Cunning Sparkmage, 2 Vines or Vastwood, 4 Lightning Bolts, 2 Oblivion Ring, 4 Path to Exile, 2 Elspeth, Knight Errant, 2 Garruk Wildspeaker, 4 Wooly Thoctar.

What do you all think? This is just thought up right now while I was typing, but I want to try a casual deck along these lines, I would love to smash my enemies with the Brigid/Deathtouch/Doyen combo, and for back up, use CUnning Sparkmage just in case it doesn't pan out correctly. I just am not sure if these creatures are enough to finish my opponent off, if I need to put a few beaters in here. Any help whatsoever is appreciated.

P.S. If your gonna talk crap, at least say something clever.

I finally made my G/W archer deck, and man I love Brigid. The only downside is my friend always sighs and refuses to attack for 5 or more turns until he can either overrun me or hope to pull a removal for her. Greatbow Doyen+Brigid is one of the best combo's I can think of in terms of damage, but it really makes the game drag on because no one will want to attack you until she is gone.

Still a 5/5 for me.

Actually, Shadoflaam, if you've already got Basilisk Collar on her, then Kusari-Gama won't add anything more to the combo. All of the blockers would already be getting deathtouched, so the extra damage won't kill them any further, and the extra damage from the KG is coming from the equipment, not the creature, so the lifelink wouldn't apply to it either.

Although, if you don't have Basilisk Collar out yet, then the KG will serve to make her a lot more lethal.

When blocking, she has both First Strike, and Firster Strike. Attacking, too, if she gets vigilance.

Opponent not wanting to attack? Simple, in-color solution: Gideon Jura.

Boros and Orzhov keep calling her. She keeps shooting them down. ZING!

The obvious thing to do is give her Deathtouch, as many have mentioned. But who else can benefit from Deathtouch outside combat damage? I give you the two Super First Strikers, Somberwald Vigilante and Ashmouth Hound. Given Deathtouch, these two can fend off even arbitrarily huge tramplers with ease. Bomber Corps can also work with a couple friends. And of course, Prodigal Pyromancer just wins at the "tag, you're dead" game.

Reconnaissance. The cool about reconnaissance is that it lets you remove an attacker after they have done first strike damage, but before they have taken regular damage. It also untaps, allowing creatures to both attack and use their tap ability. You can even remove attackers at the very end of combat, after they have done damage, essentially giving them vigilance.

This seems like a lot of extra work for 2 damage, but brigid only hits attacking or blocking creatures. With reconnaissance, you can attack with literally everything you have and make them declare blockers. Then just remove your attackers and start killing all those blocking creatures. Double the tapping fun with serra's blessing.
