Steward of Valeron combines white mana for the much needed Vigilance, and a boosted toughness.
I'm sure there must be something in Elf tribal that untaps Elves and makes this guy somewhat useful in addition to 4 Llanowar Elves??

I can only assume that they made it cost {1}{G} because if they made it cost {G} then they would have too many Llanowar Elves and Fyndhorn Elves copies running around. And they couldn't reprint either of those two cards, because they don't fit the Lorwyn theme.

Oh yeah, because I totally need that extra power on my mana source.
Just run Devoted Druid. She's a touch tougher as a default, and can take a hit to give you that extra mana you may need.

When I first saw this card, for some reason I thought it was called "Leaf Glider."
That name would actually sort of make sense for the art on Edge of Autumn...

Just run Devoted Druid. She's a touch tougher as a default, and can take a hit to give you that extra mana you may need.
