Not worth playing with Vectis Dominator, actually nothing is worth playing with Vectis Dominator. The Tine would work pretty well with the Master Transmuter; being able to use its effect multiple times, but Thousand-Year Elixir works better with the transmuter. Aside from being a cheap Elixir substitute, the Tine is a below average card.

Hey, remember those giant cards that need a ridiculous offering to untap? Colossus of Sardia, Jokulmorder, Phyrexian Colossus, I'm talking to you! Having enough of these is also an affordable way to make Godsire just cruel.

I don't think that this is such a bad card. I would agree that Thousand-Year Elixir is certainly better but it also rotates out soon.

A surprisingly flexible and powerful card. It accelerates your mana, fixes your mana, can fix your teammate's mana and accelerate him in Emperor or Two-headed giant. It basically lets you (ab)use all tapping effects twice. I played it in a deck that sported Obelisk of Alara and Merieke Ri Berit. It also had a maze of ith in it.

Really, it's an amazing card that gets extra value out of tap effects, fixes and accelerates mana, and turns one of your creatures into a vigilant one.

Pay {2}{W}{U} for a Reflecting Pool that can also give a creature Vigilance, or let you dominate with Obelisk of Alara? I ... don't see the problem with this card...
