Reminds me of the Saying"Three Hymn's I win" back in the day. Well it has the casting cost of three hymmns, but it only works as two lol. Go Tourach, you weevily basturd!
Heh. . . eh. . . Mindculling? Expensive discard isn't that great. You really have to specialize to get the most value. This card does offer versatility, but I'd rather play the Esper Charm.

They changed the Hymn's words and made it worse...

This spell isn't that impressive especially since they already have Esper Charm. The thing about instant speed discard is that they have to keep it inconsistant (hence Esper Charm being 3 different colors) or they have to jack the mana cost to a disgusting 4BB.
4BB, Sacrifice your shirt: Target opponent discards two cards.

It's missing two critical words: at random.

This should have been at random; the mana cost would have fit better and it would have been much, much more flavorful.

Every card in Time Spiral was a throwback to at least one previously printed card.

This card references Hymn to Tourach and is part of a cycle of instants with more powerful effects if played like sorceries (Haunting Hymn, Careful Consideration, Might of Old Krosa, Return to Dust, Sulfurous Blast)
Tourach is a deity of the Ebon Hand, a cabal of human wizards from the Fallen Empires set who created the first thrulls.
