At 5 casting cost, I could have seen this maybe playable in a control deck, but just combining Mind Rot and Divination at exact casting costs really doesn't add anything. A great idea, but a wasted card, sadly.

Its expensive and easy to dislike.
I'll be the first to like something like this though. Mind rot is boring. Divination is boring. This is boring squared.

I give it a 3.5/5, because I love blue discard, even if it is bad. I love this set -- it reminds me so much of Planar Chaos.

Not an unreasonable draft pick. Not a first pick by any means, but certainly not awful.

I quite like this card, actually, now that I've had some time to think about it. In limited, it will be played right at a sweet spot... around turn 5-6 (depending on what mana ramping you have available), your hand will likely be looking a bit empty, and an opponent with a decent curve should only have two or three of his more expensive cards left in his hand - finishers, or removal that he/she's saving up. You're going to be depriving your opponent of a couple of good resources while refuelling yourself, and it's all wrapped up in one card/deckslot.

It's not flashy or anything, but I still think that it's costed fairly, and unless you're facing a really fast deck, I have a hard time imagining disappointment at the results of resolving one of these.

By six mana, don't expect them to have a hand to target.

Eh... yes and no. But, seriously, Blue discard? I like Wizards trying to make non-Black colors playable, but still, I cherished that ability.

In draft, this is as awesome as any Mind Sludge or Identity Crisis. Color Pie be damned!

It seems like noone here uses it right. In the right deck, this is a star. Sure, it's the price of Mind Rot and Divination glued together without the Black mana, but this is sheer card advantage.

The guy on the right looks like Jace Beleren from the duel decks.

Hey look, it costs four less than Dementia Bat.

It's Divination stapled onto a Mind Rot!
...
And not half bad, either. Expensive, but still. Lots of advantage.

This card can be really use full, I rather enjoy having a hand when my opponent doesn't.
Plus its phyrexian, cant get more awesome then that.

@DeathDark: They're still playing around with Blue discard in the Innistrad block. They even combined discard and countermagic into a single card, Frightful Delusion. Really though, there's so much Black-Blue crossover in Magic, it was really only a matter of time before some of those lines got blurred. A little bit of Blue discard doesn't bother me. But if we start seeing Black counterspells I might panic, haha.

A good example of a card with a really powerful effect and an appropriate casting cost that won't see play because it is simply too expensive despite all that. Maybe a good control deck could swing it, but they're looking for something else in a 6 drop.

I hate it when that happens; when a mechanised zombie mage monstrosity pops out of the air in front of me and bellows. It ruins my whole day.
