Suspend 3 would have made this playable...

I agree, the suspend 4 is a major drawback, BUT in multiplayer, opening hand with a bunch of these is hilarious, just throw up some bombs and in a couple of turns people are gunna hate you, if they didnt kill you already for suspending 2+ mindstabs.

This is a terrible throwback to the good card that is Mindstab thrull

3/5, still decent in a Liliana's Caress deck or any control decks. Makes your opponent want to throw down some cards too before the suspend ends.

suspend 4 gives your opponent the time to either overextend, or ready his swerve at you.
Could be good in the right scenario.

This with Wheel of Fate both suspended on turn 3, 4 turns later someone will be hurting a bit. Esp with Liliana's Caress on the field.

This card's art looks like it has nothing to do with what the card actually does, f you are a new player and aren't familiar with Mindstab Thrull. I wonder if things like these are why Time Spiral wasn't the most successful set, even though most veteran players loved it.

I've learned not to underestimate this card. Brutal and forceful, like a good time bomb ought to be.

Would be great with board sweepers like Mutilate or Black Sun's Zenith.
This card says unload your hand ASAP, and the sweepers say NO.

Nearly every card in Time Spiral block was a throwback to at least one previously printed card.

This card references the card Mindstab Thrull, specifically the version illustrated by Mark Tedin, who returned to this piece over ten years afterward to illustrate this card!

This was printed in the same block as Damnation. Give your opponent a choice: Either over-extend to minimize the effect of the discard and lose all their cards to the combination of boardwipe and discard, or hold back so you get maximum value out of Mindstab while being able to save your board-wipe.

A control deck won't be worried about the boardwipe, but the discard will still hit them hard. They might counter it, but then they've tapped some of their lands and you haven't, so you can force through a threat or something.
