My brother loves to annoy the hell out of my by playing this first turn and then enchanting it with not one, but TWO Edge of the Divinity (not every game, but it happens often enough for me to want to snap his neck). It's pretty annoying to stare at an attacking turn two 7/7 Lifelink. I don't care about his life total anyway, because I always mill him to the death. Anyway, I really hate the Nip. It's kinda useless by itself only, though. Edge of the divinity makes it playable.

Great for a combo, not so great by itself. Not bad, but not great... Nice color weight... But again, limited uses... That, and I don't like lifelink for some reason (Just doesn't appeal to me for some reason)
So: Base rating: ** Color weight: +* liflink: + */2

No humans in Shadowmoor/Llorwyn, otherwise she would have been a Human Wizard (or Shaman, or Druid, or... something), and being black she has no place in Kithkin. So WotC dug up an old creature type to put her in.

Turn one: Plains/Swamp, Nip Gwillion Turn two: Plains Swamp, Edge of the Divinity (or perhaps even Twice), and if you don't draw an additional, Unholy Strength

I honestly think the Hag creature type is really cool. I would just like to see some more of them.

I absolutely LOVE this card.
Turn 1: Nip Gwillion Turn 2: Two Edge of Divinity, swing for 7 lifelink lol.
I've actually had people scoop as soon as I do this. Sure it can be chump blocked all day, but I gain 7 life every time it swings. Really hard to fight back against that. There aren't too many legacy decks in my playgroup that can compete with that. Although my green stompy deck can get an 8/8 or better Primalcrux out by turn 4. Yes, there are a million ways to counter it, and a million ways to kill it, but remember - you have to actually DRAW those cards before they become effective :-)

Why does everyone say Turn 2?!
Turn 1: Swamp > Dark Ritual > This Card > x2 Edge of Divinity's
Seriously, that's a TURN 1 7/7 Lifelink creature with the right hand!

imo for those who were playing this with dark ritual (and two edge) on turn 1, i think it's dumb because even if you do that kind of play, you will still eventually attack on turn two which is still similar to a first turn nip then second turn x2 edge.
playing the enchantment very early will only make your creature a nice target to your opponents bounce or removal spells and wasting a card or two of yours in the process.

TrueBloodWolf, I think it's because having it out turn one is no better than turn two without haste, and needing a quintessential combo piece just to have it ready to block turn one haste critters isn't worth it.
If I'm playing you and you put two edge of divinity on this card I laugh because before swing ill path to exile or swords to plowshares it. It's a fine card but if you put enchantments on it like that ill 2 for 1 you or 3 for 1 you all day. Ido like this guy never the less as a turn 1 life linker if you use equipment or I you can just get a few points of damage off with it before blocking with it

So most auras aren't legacy-playable, you say? Well, I never... Seriously, though, everyone knows about the potential downsides of auras. Not everyone plays in formats where one or two-drop removal is common, though. Not to mention this card, Edge, and its supporting Liege all came from Eventide, and Shadowmoor block didn't have either of white's one-drop removal all-stars. Unmake seems more likely in that environment, and while that still hurts, you at least get to swing once or twice. For people using Dark Ritual, though, who clearly aren't playing in a limited environment... yeah, that's a lot of cards to commit to a single unprotected target.
If you know your play environment, though, as you should, especially if you're just playing the current standard, you can make plays like this that would seem absurd elsewhere. I wasn't around for Shadowmoor, unfortunately, so I can't say for certain whether it would actually be a good play, but I wouldn't be so quick to judge. If you pulled that with even one Edge in a draft, for instance, you'd probably be looking at a quick game.

When Eventide came out, there were about two months at my FLGS where nearly every game on every table was; Turn 1 - This. Turn 2 - 2 x Edge of the Divinity, swing with a 7/7 lifelinker. Urgh.
