best of the hunted cycle, I'd say, since it can easily kill its hunter.

Nice. I'd like to see more of the Lammasu creature type in Magic.

If you like the idea of a 5/5 flier for 4 cmc with a drawback, you may be interested in Rathi Dragon. His drawback is a bit more steep, but still worth it in my opinion. This guy is always my turn 4 play when in hand with my white deck.

From experience I can say that nearly all of the Hunted cards are quite dangerous to use, as any simple removal spell will give your opponent double the card advantage. I had two Ravnica block decks in which I tried to use these guys. I took the Lammasu out of my Boros deck after getting killed by the 4/4 horror, and the Hunted Troll out of my Golgari deck when my opponent kept chump blocking the troll and hitting me with the four 1/1 flyers. The Hunted Dragon, however, shines among this cycle. Not only does it have haste, which allows you to cast it when your opponent is tapped out and attack at least once without risking removal, but it can't be blocked by the tokens it generates. Many people still feel relatively safe at 6 life - Hunted Dragon makes a great finisher. Even better if you have a way to pump it.

is it just me or is this the only Hunted where they forgot to depict the hunter? or am i just not seeing the horror? maybe it's hiding in the shadows of the tree or underneath the Lammasu's beard?

Funny that you can't find this in Gatherer by spelling it correctly. (Should be one M, two Ses, not the other way 'round.)
@takenbyshadow: I think it is his beard :-).

I like the Hunted cards, got hunted Phantasm and dragon in my Leyline of Singularity - Deck, paired with Dingus staff you can mess up your opponents Life pretty quick :)
This one is the one with the least threat, and 5/5 Flyer vs 4/4 Horror wins :D

The Horror creature is hidden really well in this picture. 4/4 black you say? It is Hidden Horror!!!!
Oh, it's silhouetted in the doorway. Trace your line of sight directly down from the front of that magnificent burley beard.
Lammasu sounds like a llama, but looks like a gryphon. What the moo?

I find it funny for some reason that just because this one single creature exists, all Changelings are ever-so-slightly Lammasu. AND THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT.

Everyone wishes they were a lammasu. Just look at Cao Cao, Lord of Wei. He's been trying for years.
@NeoKoda: Lammasu, or shedu, are a form of protective supernatural being from Sumerian, Babylonian, and Assyrian lore. They're thought to be an antecedent to the Hebrew cherubim.

Whoah, a Lammasu? I did not expect to see one of those in Magic.
This is a fair trade though. Hunted Troll has to deal with 4 irritating chump blockers, this guy can swing early for good damage and evasion and the enemy 4/4 can be killed with White's traditional plethora of bleedin' first strikers...

"Hunted" Lammasu indeed: This is the only lammasu card to ever be printed! They did a really good job of hunting them!

I like him in decks that steal creatures, since he ensures your opponent will have something worth taking. Even if you can't nab the horror, you stil have a 5/5 flyer for cheap.

Lamassu are actually mythical creatures depicted in Mesopotamian (let's just say the Middle East in ancient times) art. There a couple of Lamassu statues in the British Museum, if I recall correctly.
The misspelling of the name comes from D&D, though, if we can believe the wikipedia article.

That 4/4 vanilla Horror has some delusions of grandeur, aiming to hunt down a creature that outclasses it so badly.

Lolsy with vanish into memory. Too bad I'm also planning on running ghostway or I'd definitely be playing this.
