A guaranteed creature every turn is great, but there are other ways to do the same thing now, most of which are much more efficient. Four mana for a 1/1 is comparatively terrible, but it still combined with glare of subdual to create a successful ravnica archetype.

good when you have nothing else to do

I would've liked this a lot better if it tapped for G and was legendary or something.

I can think of SO MANY things that I would rather spend 4 mana on than a puny little 1/1 Saproling! Sure, late in the game, if you have nothing else to spend your mana on, it never hurts to give yourself more chump-blockers. But 4 CMC for one 1/1 Saproling with no abilities of its own??? Not worth it.

On the plus side, your lands having abilities is never a bad thing, and the artwork and flavor are good. So I give it a solid 3 stars out of 5.

In the decks this was built for (Selesnya) you don't need life and limb - with convoke everywhere Saprolings as good as tap for mana anyway. ^^

Yes, it costs 2GreenWhite for one 1/1 Saproling, but it's reuseable card advantage and if you are playing Green you should be able to pay the cost with ease. It's an instant chump blocker if you need it, or just build up your Saproling swarm at the EOT on your opponent's turn.

Certainly not a four-of by any means, but one or two in a deck can be great.

Life and Limb makes this effect very powerful (even without infinite loops), it becomes "4,T: put a land token into play."

Idk the name indicates that it should be legendary
