One man's trash... is another man's wall?

I like the fact that this guy isn't a Wall (a misprint during those days) :)

@ beakid: actually it wasn't a misprint. They simply chose not to give artifact creatures creature types in those days. Like shifting wall or karn, silver golem.

It certainly makes Zephyr Spirit look bad. Althoug I suppose it can survive being smacked by a humungous fatty

It's made up of demolished Great Walls. Hence, Wall of Junk.

Ha with the new combat damage stack rules it really is a wall of junk cause the ability don't work like it used to

Wait a minute, beakid is actually right. Shifting Wall and Wall of Spears both had explicit card text saying they counted as walls. This doesn't. So before the Oracle update, based on how the rules were printed back then, you could technically attack with this.

Back in the day, Wall of Junk was a great stall card. It's on my top ten Magic 2012 reprint wish list.

@distinct actuality

I wish this card could survive that, but the ruling says it has to survive until the end of combat. It's still one of the greatest walls ever. Today walls get wall of tanglecord because wizards says "blocking isn't fun."

Angelic Chorus and Wall of Junk is one of my eldest combos since they came in the same booster pack 14 years past and still good

I see they errata's it to actually be a wall.
You don't have to tell your friends that when you play it in casual, though.

why did they have to put "defender" in the new oracle :( this would have been awesome with Doran

@majinara: True, but if Wall of Junk couldn't attack, they would put "Counts as a Wall" on the card.

This thing is GREAT in an EDH evolve deck. Two mana will trip evolve on virtually anything that hasn't been evolved at least 3 times already, and if your opponent tries to whack you with something, you can do it again. (Or pair it with an Esperzoa to bounce it every turn regardless of what your opponent does.)

I used to have an enchant Creature Deck with this card. I'd play it and people would laugh, then suddenly I would enchant it with Rancor and other Comes back from the graveyard enchant creatures.

Now it can't attack, sad days for all.

Meh. If you can benefit from casting an 0/7 creature every turn then sure.

Heartless Summoning gives you a 0/6 wall for no mana and essentially takes away the drawback, assuming no counterspells or whatnot.
