Note the lack of the "basic" keyword. This thing can be used to grab your shocklands, gentlemen.

or your original dual-lands if you have them. those things make a difference in any game.

Unfortunately the Ravnica dual lands are the only ones besides the originals that have the basic land types. So unless you're using either of those, Rampant Growth is slightly better, as it can grab forests while this can't.
Personally, I prefer Fertile Ground, as it costs the same, can produce a different color each turn, and combos well with cards that untap lands like Garruk Wildspeaker and Arbor Elf. Too bad it rotated out with Lorwyn, wish it had been reprinted.

I use a WUBRG deck that has 20 original dual lands, and this might as well read "Go get whatever 2 colors you want. Enjoy."
However, most the time, if your format allows it, I think Rampant Growth is the slightly better choice.

almost strictly better than rampant growth if you're using shocklands or the original dual lands. Otherwise rampant is strictly better.
A friend of mine was looking for another rampant growth effect, so I pointed this one out to him. He's running a W/U/G deck. After playing with it for the first time, he complained that it couldn't find forests, and trash-talked the card for a long time. I pointed out to him that if you're using it in a multi-colored deck, what does it matter?
I personally use Farseek ONLY to fetch dual/shock lands. Rampant growth all the way for basics. If you're running a mono-green deck, of course this card sucks compared to Rampant growth. Or if you aren't using any dual/shock lands. So he finally settled and just used two of each lol.
It IS extremely annoying that this can't fetch forests. I would've given this card a straight up 10/10 if it could.

This card is better than it seems, because it has even more use than getting the dual/shock lands. I have won many a game using this to fetch monster finisher Island Fish Jasconius, along with R&D's Secret Lair.

While the margin is tiny, I honestly don't see how Rampant Growth can get rated higher than this. The sheer fact that it doesn't have to be a basic land is huge for any multicolor deck running either shocklands or alpha duals. It basically fetches you two colors, that can be two colors you don't have if you're running a three+ color deck. That's power right there.

Errata text: Choose one - Search your library for a dual land that's worth more than your first car and put it onto the battlefield tapped, then shuffle your library, or search your library for a dual land that will hopefully someday be reprinted maybe (if Wizards is really serious about Modern), and put it onto the battlefield tapped, then shuffle your library.
Apparently due back in the 2013 core set. That does seem to suggest that the Hallowed Fountain cycle will reappear in RTR. They can't be in the core set itself--with Tormod's Crypt at 219, Evolving Wilds at 224, and the first Plains at 230, there isn't enough room for all ten.

markamor: how in the name of Magic can you believe that Rampant Groth is better than this card?
It is FACT that this cards searches you more cards without a drawback...
