Compare to Air elemental; Costs 1 less, but you lose 1 life each upkeep, and its UB instead of UU. 3.5

Just an amazing threat in U/B, and one of my personal favorites, as three of these bad boys won me the Ravnica draft. Other people passed it up because they saw the life-drain and that made them think it was a horrible card-until it was used against them.

its nice, it would be better if it costed UBB, still it has potential in a lifelink deck (so that the 1 life doesnt bother you).
all in all a decent card, not to be underestimated, since it can cause some trouble for your opponents.

Awful card. You loose life when with this converted mana cost, you can get awesome cards...

This used to be cost efficient! Damn you, power creep :/

I hate how this card had so much creative potential, just to be a card that by no means needs such a terrible drawback for a simple 4/4 flyer, especially for a B/U vampire. Even a mill on combat damage ability would be useful and fit the whole "psychic youth-stealer" idea. I'd like to see Moroii as a B/U vamp theme in a later plane with better themes.

Shame that it's multi coloured.

Guys, this is still a strong, aggressively costed beater. 4/4 for 4 is as strong as any flier gets these days. Sure, most of them today don't get a drawback, but 1 life per turn is hardly painful.

helm of the ghastlord, sure I'll pay one life per turn for enormous card advantage

There's basically no drawback. You'll deal alot more damage with this card than you'll take. Only noobs are afraid to lose a little life now and then.

look at the freaking ART on that thing!
I wouldn't care if it was a 2/2 flier that hurt you for 2 and cost UB.
the art gets 5 stars. then again, it's Ravnica...you could use that argument on every card.
Ravnica: City of Guilds is probably my favorite place in the Multiverse. Any Magic movie that wants to be taken seriously should take place there. Very Magic-related location (unlike Lorwyn, Zendikar, or Kamigawa), potential for STUNNING visuals, and one of the few places it makes sense to find 'oh! another Planeswalker!' (besides Dominaria, of course)

Used Fountain of Youth to counteract the damages. For Four mana, 4/4 seems pretty good.

I'm sorry about my previous comment. That was not me that posted it, most likely my brother. I have removed the comment for this reason.

Ok, I don't like to sound offensive, but hell yeah I dislike powercreep but I hate these spoiled "powercreep" brats even more! This is cost efficient! 4/4 flying for 4 is great, sure there has been creatures like that now and then who do not have drawbacks but still, people should consider the context of the card before judging. Make no mistake about it, this card is GOOD. The current score of this makes me sick.

Compare to Conundrum Sphinx as it's pretty much the only blue 4/4 flier for 4 without a real drawback.

So let's assume that because it's multicolored and thus harder to cast than mono, it's cost is comparable to Serra Angel's . Even with similarly demanding mana requirements and rarity ratings, this thing substitutes the angel's vigilance with a negative affect. I really can't invision this being all that great. On DotP 2013, I've made people quit on me after I used Pacifism on their newly summoned Moroii. I can only imagine how much one's enthusiasm would sink if it was Pillory of the Sleepless instead. doesn't strick me as a color of risk like is, and this card is definitly risky. The flavor seems kind of off dispite the side of it.

@ Toboloco
Wizards printing a 4/4 flier in any color(s) for cmc 3 is a fantasy (without an avatar o discord level drawback, that is)
Especially in old rav days, when watchwolf was the end all of power creep

If your deck really needs to be using this for Dimir aggro, you're probably better off with Serendib Efreet. Wait...

@Brakken Serendib Efreet is not modern legal. so if you want to run something other than casual, look no further
