combo this with anything that deals 2 damage or more to all non-flying creatures and you can wipe the board of land. Better yet if you find a spell that just deals that damage to opponents creatures.

This and Pyroclasm are great.

Kicked Marsh Casualties is the only thing that comes to mind for me.
Unfortunately that'd mean you need eight manna to pull it off.

2 Unkicked Marsh Casualties, or a Marsh Casualty + something that does 1 damage to everything might work better - such as Earthquake for 1.

- Alternatively, have levitation in play, and play earthquake for 2.
Levitation has the added advantage that it turns this into a potential killer without giving your opponent potentially equal blockers to the creatures you just gave yourself.

Why is everyone trying to destroy lands with this. Green already does that well enough, so does red. Why use green and red to mass destroy lands needlessly? Just use boom//bust if you really need to. Sure, it's less flashy but at least it's easier to draw, not card disadvantage, less space in the deck etc etc..

Use Elf mana (say from Elvish Arch Druid) to pay for this and if you have some static buffs to all creatures you can safely attack with all those lands. Muraganda Petroglyphs is one good idea if this is your prerogative.

@blurrymadness: Muraganda Petroglyphs does not work with this because the animated lands will have mana abilities. Even if it did work it would pump your opponents animated lands as well.

I run this card in my multiplayer focused G/B deck with Pernicious Deed and Vulturous Zombie. The deed can either wipe the board of lower CC threats or just be activated for 0. Destroying all the land on the table is great, destroying all lands on the table, eliminating any chump blocking threats and pumping up a huge plant zombie? Even. Better.
When I find myself way behind in lands I'll use it to reset everyone but allowing myself to Life From the Loam my way back into the game. It can even work as a finisher in a pinch, a herd of unexpected 2/2's can be lethal against a tapped out opponent.
There's alot of interesting uses for this card beyond Pyroclasm.

How about THIS, Early Harvest, and swing???
14 to 16 damage threat, depending on your land drop.

I think Convoke can be abused with this. I'm sure Chords of Calling, or something like that, could actually bring out a big dude.

Love this card. It fits just perfectly in my Trostani deck, especially due to its dryad flavor. To play this with Elesh Norn is one of the most awesome combos ever, IMO. And if you manage it to have Gaea's Cradle on the field, then you even can play this combo already on turn 5 or whatever, since Gaea's Cradle also counts your lands as creatures. I rather like to wait a bit more for this, though, since it makes it harder for my opponents to be able to come back in the game.

However, it´s amazing to first build up a nice little army with weeny creatures and maybe one or two fatties, and then to bring this hell of a deadly combo to the table, which lets you destroy all your opponents lands, and even pumps your own creatures at the same time! Sometimes, people freak out when I play this...

And of course, it´s also a great card, to come back in the game again, if you don´t have as much mana as your opponents, by just playing it while someone plays a creature board-wipe. Or it´s also very useful, if someone has a full pumped up planeswalker on the field, for example, which will activate its final ability the next round, and you don´t have enough creatures to attack with, to stop this from happening.

This card really can be useful in many situations, plus it´s quite extraordinary. I think, it´s my favorite card from one of these older sets, and it easily deserves a 4/5. Perhaps even a 4,5/5.

I just want to say that I love the way Mr. Venters decided to depict the art for this card.

This+Sudden Spoiling + Shard phoenix= is probably the funniest thing I've ever pulled off in a game.
Imagine the face of your opponent when all that remain are your Assembly-Workers.
