Woo hoo! I'm the first person to rate or post for this card! Anyway, I would say that for the set it was in, it's worthy of a 4. As compared to the rest of the cards in the world, I don't think it's that amazing. Kamigawa is notorious for being choked with legends.

Kamigawa was a fun block, I'd admit for certain. Their cycle of Legendary lands were certainly playable and were often used as one-of's in tournament decks for their potential usefulness. The rare chance that it could make a difference could just break you the game, as high level tournaments come to the finest differences in life totals.

Um. Why does this have a lower rating than most basic forests? Even the effect doesn't do all that much, it's just a nice card in a cool way. 5/5

For a card with almost no drawbacks aside from not counting as a forest and being a non-basic land (vulnerable to a lot of land destruction etc), it's almost always worth replacing 1 forest with this if you have even a single copy of a legend in your deck.

If you play green EDH, throw one in instead of a forest. It has no drawback whatsoever. 5/5.
You can also nuke the donated land with another, assuming you're playing a land heavy deck and your opponent isn't.

These lands were so cool, and they still are in EDH. Auto include for any colour combination. No reason for anything less than 5/5 on these, no need not to include them over their basic counterparts.

The drawback, as compared to a forest, is not so much that it is legendary; you can get around that by only playing one in your deck. No, its the fact that Magic hates nonbasics. WastelandBack to BasicsRuinationPrice of Progress etc etc etc

Arbor Elf says it's not just strictly better then Forest. But other then that, it's has very little downside aside from dies to Vesuva & Thesbian's Stage also, in legacy it's a target for wasteland. In most situations though, it's just better then a basic forest. Where cards in this cycle shine the most are in voltron edh decks where it essentially reads, "Hey, you wanna buff your general for cheap w/o it being colorless or etb tapped? Here you go." I think that in terms of lands they shouldn't print cards that are pretty much strictly better forest.

I could be wrong, but I think this card has the longest name in all of black boardered magic.
