No sane person would block this guy under normal circumstance lol
He's good in exalted for that reason

Can you cascade into Kenzo?

Would Banding count towards dealing damage if he's the "one other"?

He begs for Equipments or Enchantments. But if you can pull it off then he'll be worth it!

@theiss: yes, but not how you think. He would cascade into Bushi tenderfoot, not kenzo.

this was good before damage on the stack was removed.
1. block with tenderfoot
2. damage on the stack
3. smite
4. flips to Kenzo.
5. Damage resolves
6. Profit!

@ultratog1028: Damage doesn't go on the stack.

@ChampionofSquee It used to. That was his point.

The most elegant solution to providing cannon fodder to the elite troops I've ever seen.

@ultratog1028 Wrong, if you were to assign tenderfoot as a blocker then wait for the combat damage step before casting smite, then combat damage would go on the stack, smite would go on the stack, smite would resolve and destroy the blocked creature, then combat damage would resolve and both tenderfoot and the attacker would be dealt the respective damage they were assigned regardless of whether the source is still in play. After combat damage resolves, and tenderfoot is moved to the graveyard, the flip card ability would trigger, and resolve with no target to affect as tenderfoot would no longer be in play.

If you were to smite after assigning a blocker but before the combat damage step, then no combat damage would occur as the creature tenderfoot blocked would already have left play and the flip card ability would never trigger.

Block a Ball lightning and use Test of Faith

For this, I think banding or protection. Both are white mechanics, although I'll grant you, one is quite old... Block, then use emerge unscathed.

He once killed a man in Reno, just to watch him die...

That +2/+3, doublestrike, and bushido 2 might be enough to convince me to give it a try...

Since it's not a may trigger couldn't you have all of your Bushi Tenderfoots flip at once (say if you were forced to block with more than one)? That could be quite the problem.

Why wouldn't you block this guy? If it dies due to damage during battle then it doesn't flip.

But you just need to stick this guy with DT and FS and you got a big buy for few mana.

What they did in Infect with Livewire, and Mutagenic Growth. The same principle can be applied towards Bushi. Hell he doesn't even have to fight to transform :D

Run with Necrobite. Other combat tricks and auras with flash also work for obvious reasons, but Necrobite is fairly unique in that it provides surprise factor, survivability, and lethality even if he's in combat with a 13/13.

I would just Giant Growth.

5/6 in combat, virtually a 10/6 because of double strike. Yeah, I'd say that one mana is worth it.

I love that he starts out as a nobody and becomes a somebody.

Love this little guy! I drop Healing Salve or Redeem on him and then block another 1/1 with him, or I'll put Indomitable Will on him and just have him go to town.
