It's indeed a great card. As long as this madam is untapped, your opponents won't be able to succeed with any single creature removal spell (except for Ghostfire maybe) or ability. On top of that, she also does a great job when blocking (while not playing against an artifact deck) And you can use her offensively against a mono-colored deck as well when attacking.
That sure is a very versatile one-drop.

Why has she not been reprinted yet? She is definitely one of the better and more balanced creatures that have been printed... and yet... still no reprints.

Duh, there's a reason why Magic hasn't reprinted this! Have you guys ever played against this in casual? Once it's on the battlefield, it usually stays alive for a long time, making creatures unblockable via protection and protecting countless others from spot removal. Crazy card, but it should've been rare, and probably Legendary too >_>

Oh yes. This card is a 4 of in every cleric deck period. This card sets the tone for the game as your enemies stare blankly at your side of the board and pray for two kill spells to stop this from winning you the game. This is evasion, protection for your creatures, a blocking MACHINE, and a cleric for the other various cleric related abilities. This is easily one of the best one drops in the game.
If you play with a casual group of friends often, the only way they will let you play this is in a straight cleric tribal deck, and if you play multiplayer with the same people, be ready to take some serious hate, then laugh as you win the game anyway.
This should have been legendary, because having two or more out is exponentially worse than just one.

I got this out in a casual game. Had fun with it. Had lots of fun with it, in fact.
But for some reason, ever since she's been killed in a variety of horrible ways before she even gets over her summoning sickness! Poor lady.
Excellent card, and truly versatile. Kill her the second you see her, is my advice... um, unless you're playing against me.
You need another broken card to kill a broken card. Mother of Runes is one reason why Rebel was so successful and Masticore gets so popular against the deck. You MUST kill it!!!

Oracle ruling for this card used to say, "This card doesn't actually do anything. Rather, it relies on it's intimidation factor to throw your opponent off guard and cause them to make mistakes. I mean, who wants to fight someone who is casually sipping a cup of tea?"
btw 5/5

Usually the broken low mana costs are elves, strange to see a broken low mana cost cleric.

They try to lightning bolt one of your creatures? Pro red
In my r/w deck, she easily trumps Figure of Destiny in regards to who I want to see in my opening hand. She really makes the game go your way, and when she's acting as support to Eight-and-a-half tails, the only chance your opponent has to win creature combat is to wipe the board.

Such a fantastic card in a wide variety of Wx decks. I haven't had much experience with her, but I put her into a monowhite lifegain deck I've been working on, and she's a superstar. Early on she blocks most creatures outright due to lack of trample, so she keeps you alive while you get bigger creatures out (or draw into removal). Beyond that, she basically says "targetted spot removal now equates to card disadvantage".
She also goes a fair way towards making your creatures unblockable (take that blue!), so even in a weenie deck she could find a home. All in all, a great card, and one of the best 1 drops there is.

This card seems pretty good at first glance. However, you don't truly understand the sheer power of this card until you play it or play against it. It can make your creatures unblockable. It counters removal. Its mere presence on the field totally changes the way your opponent plays, forcing him to consider what you're going to do next with it with every move he makes. One of the best 1 drops in the game.

I'd say this is, straight up, the best white 1 drop of all time. But, I'd only be mostly right, in EDH Serra Ascendant is a 1 mana 6/6 flying lifelinker and is almost auto-scoop in 1v1. Overall as a card in all formats, this is not only the best one drop in white, it's among the greatest 1 drops of all time. If your opponent ever untaps with this, it will mess up combat counter removal spells and is stupidly good in multiples all with no further mana investment. Imagine how much worse it would be if you had to pay & tap to activate, it would be a lot worse but it would still be very good. That is how amazing this card is.

It doesn't get much better than this in terms of one-drops. Mom's a pretty frustrating card to face down, especially when she comes out turn one. If you don't find a way to deal with her - which often involves 2 or more cards - you'll have trouble dealing with every other creature your opponent drops. I think I hate playing against this card more than I like playing it, but either way it's incredibly efficient and one of the rare one-drops that's valuable whether you play her in the beginning, middle, or end of the game.
5/5, though I paused for a minute before rating because she just looks so darn unassuming and smug, quietly sipping her tea while you tear your hair out.

She is a pillar to many a legacy deck. She smuggly dominates removal strategies, especially if supported by token producers. She's a 1-drop that blocks Goyf and KotR; even titans; and has no issues doing so.
Her damage prevention means that you can block something holding a Jitte and give up no counters to it.
She causes unblockability of a color allowing one to get final bits of damage through. She's a powerhouse that only gets better with time. Just like the "cycle" of insane 2-drops, she's in the cycle of insane 1-drops that holds legacy together.
(Consider Devoted Caretaker when it comes to a deck that utilizes important enchantments/artifacts)
