I could see this being used in an EDH deck with attacking Generals :-)

I use it in my Crosis, the Purger deck, and it works quite well. The fact that it's just a straight bonus and not "While it remains tapped" or whatever makes it capable of tapping multiple times (Provided you can untap it, of course), and it doesn't leave if the creature is destroyed either
Hm... should have been put in Kamigawa, would have seen loads of play probably.

This was the first Legendary Non-creature (back when those were just "Summon Legend"), so it's not worthy of a "Boo". Not the best, but was still useful then.

Colorless +2/+2 on a stick? It's not that bad when you think of it.

Turn it into a creature and it can pump itself! Thus accomplishing nothing. Unless you used Voltaic Key to untap it again. You could even block with it, tap it afterward and have a 6/6 blocker.

Wizard chooses this sword as one of the card for their Royal Wedding deck, congratulating Prince William's happy day.
But this sword along with the picture is in fact a tragic story of Crovax and his angel Selenia. The two were in love but Selenia was dominated by Volrath and the two turned on each other, ended up with Crovax killing Selenia and went mad.
Let's hope the royals don't find out about it :D

there were legendary lands before it, like Karakas

I just realized this works with Tezzeret 2.0, squee! :)
Seconds later I realized that it has to tap to attack :(

This is what equipment looked like before it was an official thing. I kind of like it, since it's not actually Equipment, meaning it gets around marginally more restrictions, and if you're attacking with multiple Legends for some reason, you get to choose which is bigger at the speed you prefer.
Why is this rated so low? This card is amazing! It's one of the proto-equipment cards that doesn't suck! Play Isamaru, Hound of Konda or Rhys the Redeemed on turn 1, then play this on turn 2 and attack! There are some great things that you can do with this card.
