this card doesnt have a really awesome affect unless your playing a speed deck that loves to throw 1 mana goblins at you like a monkey throwing poo. then its easy to wipe the field with all the 1 mana cost goblins and go in for the kill.

Yeah, Radagast, I mean, who would run a one drop in Extended?
Oh wait.

works awesomely with "1 drop or less" artifact theme. Auriok Salvagers become Auriok Tokensmashers.

I own a single copy in a deck with Trinket Mages and Tolaria Wests, and I inevitably find myself tutoring for it in almost every game I play. It's incredibly versatile: token hozer, blunts early aggro, deals with artifacts and enchantments, and hits shrouded permanents in a pinch. I love it.

Even in a mono-color deck, you can still add versatility to it by using Dual-Lands, providing other colors of mana with minimal restriction.

I hate mirrodin for creating such overpowered cards . . This is CRAZY. This is an ability that has the capacity to destroy multiple permanents in legacy. Most permanents in legacy cost less than 3 . . so for less than 5 mana, it can essentially destroy permanents (mostly oppponent's).
So I have a Cromat EDH deck. Just discovered this card, and I'd consider including it for sure. I like Crime // Punishment a little better for the most part. But this can hose planeswalkers. I like this card a lot. It's elegant. After looking through all the sunburst cards, this is the only one I would consider using outside of a deck that runs doubling season and/or parallel lives

@Hoonster The card destroys ONLY permanents whose converted mana cost is EXACTLY equal to its number of charge counters.
So for example, if it has three charge counters, it won't destroy permanentes of 0, 1 or 2 converted mana cost.

No one in hear mentions academy ruins? The unlimited recursion engine on a land? Or that you can change it's CMC on the stack by pumping more mana into it without changing the number of counters on it?
