Since oracle says you still discard a card with this in play does that mean you still take 2 damage if an opponent has, say, a Megrim in play?

This card + vampire hounds + vampire nocturnus = guaranteed 6/5 flying hounds and 5/4 flying vampire nocturnus provided you "discarded" a black creature card.

Library of Leng + Vampire Hounds is pretty much the worst combo I have ever heard of. You are guaranteeing that you will lose. Here is why: you will be turning every card you own into a dialed-down giant growth. Truly awful.

Actually, you can't discard to the top of your library using Library of Leng and the Vampire Hounds ability because to discard for Vampire Hounds' ability is a cost, not an effect.

Their are two rules on different printings; 1: 'no maximum hand size' and 2: 'skip your discard phase' don't they have very different effects in certain situations.
If a card increases or decreases your hand size when library of leng is in play then rule 1 above will be over written?
But rule 2 does not care about hand size. Your maximum handsize could be 0, you have 20 cards in hand but as your skipping the discard phase you don't need to worry...

Library of Leng + Gamble seems to be a pretty nice interaction, worst case scenario is you putting a card you needed (not necessarily the one you searched for) on top of your library while best case has you putting something you want in the graveyard there on top of a tutor.

This card made me realize how much of a dick one of my friends is. I built 4 decks, none of them control, just aggro, Timmy decks. Well I finally decided to make a control deck, and I picked discard. Guess what card my friend picked up a playset of shortly thereafter.
... Then laugh as you discard the cards you want to the top of your library since it's part of the effect and not the cost.
