The first time I saw this, the only thing I could think of was Untaidake, the Crap Keeper.
I can see this being the Fleshmad Steed-style laughingstock of this set. I apologize in advance to anyone who pulls this as a rare at a prerelease.

Where was this during Kamigawa? Oh, that's right, in the broken territory, because just about everything in Kamigawa was legendary... ::sigh::

Psssst, click the link.

(And moments after posting this I notice Lord_of_Phyrexia had the same sentiments...)

As soon as Theros was spoiled as a greek mythology block I was wondering if there was any legends matter cards coming out and now we finally get this. Even though this has limited uses (EDH mainly) I still think from a design stand point it is cool. Just hope more "legends matter cards" show up in Journey Into Nyx.

Hehe, I don't know if it's just me being a total fanboy or anything, but I'd definitely love it if this is actually a "precursor" card for a next Kamigawa block! (It's not that far-fetched, since the previous block we returned to Ravnica, here we have a brand new plane called Theros...it's not unimaginable to, then again, return to good old Kamigawa!)

As I type this comment (after Born of the Gods, but before Journey into Nyx), a quick search on gatherer tells me that there are currently exactly 40 legendary creatures in standard, 10 of which are gods.

Discounting gods, running 24 lands in all 5 colours and 4 copies of this allows us to run all 30 remaining legendary creatures in a singleton deck, with 2 spaces to spare. I do not know what those remaining 2 spaces are supposed to be used for, perhaps an extra copy of 2 of your own personal favourite creature? Or whichever god/s you pray to?

People, you have your legendary deck, make it happen.

I think it's just too flavorful to downvote.

Will the designer of this card please stand up?

Gosh dang it, Wizards! You just HAD to ruin this card by making me put the cards at the bottom of my library in a random order. It was almost good, too.

Ugh. I want to like this card, but I just can't. Yeah, the flavor is tasty. But I feel like most of that could have been conserved while making this a more playable card outside of legend-themed EDH decks. Like maybe eliminating the word "other", making this at least a colorless legend-only anthem when you have only one legend, and probably averaging around +2/+2 or +3/+3 in ideal circumstances in the right deck. Or maybe an effect more like Door of Destinies? It would still represent a sort of legendary council, only each creature leaves behind some helpful knowledge/gear/inspirational writing/whatever when they leave. Or like fogguy suggested, remove the word "random" to give you the ability to order your cards à la Jar of Eyeballs. I dunno, maybe I'm underestimating the power of the pseudo-tutor effect.

I think my main grievance is it's just way too niche. Anyone who gets this in Draft or Sealed will feel bad, and it won't even get touched in Standard or other non-Commander constructed formats. This would be bad but not a huge problem if casual players and aspiring Johnnies could also use it. But the fact is that many kitchen table players won't own enough legends to make this useful as a build-around card. According to my quick search, in the sets since Shards of Alara, there's about a 3% chance for rares and 25% chance for mythics of getting a legendary creature (although there has been a lot of variance from those averages from set to set). Not very good odds for any relatively new casual player who only gets one or two dozen packs a set and doesn't trade or buy singles. For a player like that, this is probably worse than Search the City. Which is saying something.
